"AHHHH SWEET! HA GA GA BOOGEY GAH!!!" I used to defend this game when people would call it a rip off. This game (rather, the first one) got so much hate in the 90s. I kept telling people to just play it and they'll see it is its own game. Reading the comments now, I'm glad to see people are enjoying it.

Man this game is badass. Combos are fun, it has a unique dizzy/stun mechanic, characters are cool and the supers are nuts.

Amo esse jogo, de coração. Um dos primeiros jogos de luta que joguei na minha vida. Pena ser lembrado apenas como mais um "clone do Street Fighter" ( injustamente ). Mizoguchi e Ryoko são meus principais, jogo foda demais.

Not even Snk values many of these old chars anymore, which is a shame. Snk realized they are talented enough at character creation (much more than Capcom), also they became more and more interested in stories with crazy fantasy elements. That resulted in abandoning the original "Snk crossover" theme of the first Kof's. If the series kept that original spirit, the roster would probably have chars from Karnov, Savage Reign, World Heroes, Samsho, Last Blade, more FF and AOF, etc. They would be the center of the show and original chars would be the "extra".

This game just plain fun. If I had known back then that there were supers. 😏 street fighter 2 would never have been played. The only thing that hurt this game was it random Artificial intelligence. It would be level 1, then spike up to level 20, then back to 3. 😂

I love it how the cpu doesn't even try to get out of dizzy state. Not to compare with cpu in streetfighter 2 (and its variants) who can "unstun" in a frame 😂

Me gustaría sugerir un TAS con Kabuki del juego "Kabuki klash: Far east of Eden". Muy buen TAS, por cierto. No conocía este juego. También me gustaría ver uno de "Street Smart", un juego clásico y muy vistoso. Aunque puede que sea uno de los más difíciles porque me pareció muy impredecible.

Data east who were bought out by snk Had a game called karate champ, That game predates street fighter 2 . While 2 guys that worked on streetfighter 1 / 1987 left capcom for Snk to make art of fighting and fatal fury.

Both Ryokos have been based on a female judoka named Ryoko (can't remember her surname, though).

No. Ryu's tatsumaki senpukyaku is not a repeat button press and motion move. Mizoguchi's uppercut is inverse quarter circle back and all r buttons. Not the same command motion as ryu.

@@vandagylon2885 okay..but still.. those moves are pretty similar to ryu/ken. The one that never have any similarity to SF is Fatal Fury. And off course..those 3D fighters. Except..kazuya/early jin that also have an uppercut and a tatsu. Well... Ryu n Ken also copying from the kamehameha 😄

Jugué en arcades éste título, y ni idea de ambos ataques especiales nuevos de Mizoguchi. El Sho-Ryu Reppa de Ken, no es nada comparado al ese multi-uppercut de Mizoguchi, parecido al de Cyclops de X-men: Children of the Atom.
