She did read a lot of books on the subject and always practiced on me - I hated when she did that, although practically everything that she said about my future is, most irritatingly, came to a true. She did that as her side business as well, although she came to hate it after some time. She said: "How I supposed to tell people they are a shit person judging by they palm lines, or what I suppose to tell them when I clearly see that they will die in a year or two?" I myself is a sceptic, but everything my mother told by a palm lines did came to a true. Even if she herself said the future didn't set in stone, it's rather a possibilities and the lines on a palm could change after some time. As I know from the books, most of the lines is rather a judge of character and health. Fortune telling part is merely is what that character and health entails for a person. You CAN fight the fate. If someone tells you something based by your palm lines (supposed that person is really knows the art and not merely a fraud), it's just a caution what you should be aware of. As I said, I'm a rationalist, but I did see chiromancy works even though I can't explain it. Maybe it's tied with our DNA and current health condition. There is too much frauds around though, you can't trust anyone who claims he or she can read the palm signs. But there is a books available, you could learn it yourself or check if what was told to you is legit.

I dunno. I liked old Bathhouse better in terms of atmosphere. It had more suspense, horror was more subtle. Also, new game seems shorter. The new one almost comedic. Old game worked better, IMHO.
