Well, maybe it's about her personal love affair with books. If you think about it, seeking knowledge is very similar to falling in love... Whether it's magic, science, or love-- it's a logical pursuit to find the right key for every lock.
As someone who relates very much to Patchy's personality, who finds a sense of romance in obscurity, who enjoys exploring ideas within contained space, and whose form of self-expression is to combine existing elements in creative ways, this song holds a lot of meaning for me, and is one of my favorites. ^^
