I'm studying artists I like and honestly the hardest part is trying to figure out how tf they color and shade their hair. There's so much variation and their own preferences on top of various layer effects that it can be really confusing. I think i'll start simple for now lol
As a more experienced artist yes, it's good to start simple and slowly build yourself up to add more details as you understand the structure of the hair. Studying also your favourite anime artists helps a lot or watching their process of drawing ^^
I stopped drawing around 5 years ago and I regret every moment of it. I used to be so close to what I thought would be a good "webcomic artstyle" but I quickly realized no matter how good I was getting, it wasn't good enough in my eyes. So I got burnt out and barely took the time to draw. I'm so excited to try again. It's almost like starting from scratch but with a few tricks to know exactly how anatomy and other things work. Hair seems to be my biggest struggle. It's "too fluffy" which means it just doesn't look like hair more like a marshmallow on the top of their heads. No structure or anything lol. I used to watch your videos a long time ago and I'm happy to get back into them! You were always my biggest inspiration.
Thank you so much for yet another very helpful video Rina! After all this time I am still struggling with hair, but I will definitely put some time aside to practice the things mentioned in this video!
The hair tutorial I needed like two weeks ago. But thank goodness it's here. I tend to fall into drawing my characters from the same angle all the time because I can't figure out how to draw the same hairstyle from different angles (aphantasia sucks tbh).
@NekoRjna thanks again lol it took a year to find a good creator that doesn’t just explain with a speed paint, and I finally am starting to notice improvement. Also the hair segment thing never quite made sense now it does, volume made no sense but now it does. Also I really love your art style, your a really cool creator so I will instantly Sub.
I always had a problem painting hair. I love drawing hair and designing cool shapes for it, but I dread painting hair. Like actually giving the hair volume and all, I always feel like painting hair is the most boring for me. Like most artists I enjoy painting faces the most, so going to paint hair right after painting faces feels like a chore. I even enjoy painting clothing and background more than I enjoy hair. Probably because hair feels like it’s an item on itself and has its own laws of physics and everything. Like background lighting, reflections, etc. I’ve tried several styles and designs but I still am very very picky! So I admire people who paint hair really well, y’all are masters at this
This video helped me a lot idk how to draw human/hair at all and this video helped me a lot with the hair I’m literally never satisfied with my drawings of people only animals but now I’m so happy TYSM
@@Ppppi4 yeah, probably because it's a process that varies a lot more from one artist to another so it's hard to find a general rule that fits most of them. But I'll see what I can do! Thank you for the suggestion!
Thank you for this video! Your art is fantastic. My only feedback is the audio quality is not great. It was hard to watch the video in one sitting. I had to keep pausing it because the harsh quality was bothering my ears. Other than that, great video.
Yahallo New to the channel anyways I'm searching for a illustration tutorial and found this btw I came from Hyanna Natsu Channel that artist is really good in illustrating shoujo anime but sadly She no longer active. I wish this channel don't gone same to Hyanna.
@@NekoRina I’ve tried cartoonish styles and it helps somewhat, but I do want to advance to more realistic. While following your tutorial, I just sketched with an ink pen and neatened the lines and called it a day, no final line art lol. It worked so much better! Now the hair looks neat but doesn’t repeat enough for it to bother me
Pov : Rina posted Rina… … …. TY SMMMMMMM ITS SOOOOOOO SWEEEET FROM YOUUUUUUUUUU I LOVE UR TUTORIALS ❤ Btw the lil character on the thumbnail is adorable :3
