In this tutorial I'll be going over how tuning in UTAU works ^^ Like I mention several time throughout the video: this is simply the way how I like to tune my USTs. It's really important to develop your own style of tuning, so.. Please don't think that this is THE method to tune USTs. Just use this as a guide in a way.
And yes, I know this video is rather sloppily edited. So I'm sorry for the visual and audio mistakes that are still in there...

I am so happy that I found another way to tune without the plugin! This goes to the ones who couldn't open the pitch editor just like me xD You have to go to the envelope (or the red ponit on the red line that conect the notes) right click and a list of options will open. You have to click "Add control point" and another point will be added in the red line, and you can move it so that you can tune the note yourself :3 Note: I don't know if it works better or worse than the plugin, but it's just another step I didn't know for UTAU noobies with shitty annoying problems like me :D

Kashikizu do all the notes look like blocks? If they do then I think you just have to tap the weird squiggle thing in the bottom left corner of your screen in utau (or the P that’s next to it I don’t remember which one lol)

If I said the wrong thing and tapping it screws everything up, just tap the same button again and it’ll be fixed. I’m not much of a help, so I’m sorry TwT

Though I'm new to UTAU, something I would like to say is that based on how everyone has their own style of tuning, something I like to go by is that finding your tuning style is very similar to finding your art style.

Oh man... all (Well, uh, some of, I guess) your secrets are out now! (Weeeeell... for almost 11 months now) Anyhow, thanks a TON for these! Kinda made me actually try these sorts of things out myself. Like, I've been curious about UTAU related stuff for a while, but never actually got into trying it myself until I stumbled upon your tutorials. It's pretty generous of ya to explain all these things in a "user friendly" way while also adding quite entertaining/engaging commentary and video editing. Your effort is much appreciated :3

No problem at all ^^ Seeing how I've kinda wondered off to explore other stuff besides UTAU, I still wanted to give the community one last thing. This being these tutorials, seeing how the ones that used to be online were either very outdated, or included way too much rambling.. So yeah ^^ (I still plan on making a tutorial on flags and resamplers sometime during summer holidays, but I'm probably gonna drop the "how to make your own UTAU" tutorial I had planned, as that would probably require nearly a month lot of work to create...)

Does pitch editor work in yours well? It gave me an error. It didnt open its page and i searched for it. Some also had this but i couldnt work it out.😔 i even unistalled and did the same things over and over😣. Sorry Matsu...

Thank you for the tutorial! I really enjoyed watching it and it also helped me a lot cuz i was struggling on making the vocal less robotic. By the way, do you have any plan for making the tutorial about the flags someday?(sorry if my english doesn't make sense...)

I've been having a problem with the pitch editor. Whenever I use it the notes are squished together and I can't see anything I'm doing.

It’s funny. Utau is supposed to be worse since it’s free, but it easier to tune in utau, and it sounds better Xp

ill give advice for the lyric dyphonizer: I could only make it work selecting Tsuchine Zumo Rock or Whip, I dont know why but it worked

That's because those voicebanks are VCV, meaning they have smooth transitions between notes. The Lyric Diphonizer edits the lyrics so that you can actually use those smooth transitions.

Yeah yeah I'm still making these tutorials ^^ The reason 6 7 and 8 aren't done yet is because I got really tired from recording and editing 8 different tutorials over the period of 1,5 months in a row.. So.. I kinda wanted to take a break for a bit ;v; But 6, 7 and 8 will be coming quite soon ^^ Sorry it's taking so long ;v; And no problem ^^

there may be something wrong with my pitch editor. When I open it, the notes are squished inwards so close together to the point that I can't see my tuning bends. I cannot find any tutorials on how to fix this and have tried redownloading the plugin yet it remains the same. How do I fix this??

Anyone know why in Pitch Editor I can spawn in the red lines, move them around. Make them into W and U and lightning bolts and all that BUT I cannot make the starting point go into previous notes like the "Slope" example. My editor just refuses to let me put points into the other notes.. These videos have been incredibly helpful even now =)

Literally just figured out that its the second set of / S F buttons that allows me to create lines across the notes but then I have to hit - again to be able to edit them more easily... Wonder what settings I'm suppose to have on to be able to place the dots where I want without it being a pain.. ^^;

Floral Thrift try deleting the frq file for that one wav file and frq it again or rerecording and otoing it again. Worked for me!

I know this is kind of old, but my pitch editor doesn't work like yours; the red lines won't appear correctly and they always start/extend way above the note and I can't fix it. Also, when I right click on a note and select "Pitch" like you did in the video, it gives me this weird window with blue lines instead of what you got. Any suggestions at to how I can figure this out? I'm using Kasane Teto English CVVC. Thank you! :)

Um i dont know if you still answer questions regarding UTAU stuff, but if i may ask, I have a few utaus, Gahata Meiji, Yamine Renri and Ham, and for some reason when I render them (black box) i get a "file load error" followed by no sound coming out, this only happens with those vb, tei and teto are fine... Please help me if you can Edit: oh nevermind, i found out the issue!

Do you happen to have a fix for when Pitch Editor doesn't always open? I mean for me, it opens but the window doesn't actually pop out even though it's in my task bar, and I have to restart UTAU a couple of times for it to open again. This'd be a bit of an issue when editing a whole UST cause I'd have to open and close it constantly.

For assembling parts I use Sony Vegas or Adobe premiere. for the editing and such I use After effects.

What version of utau do you use? I use 1.2. I can't seem to get Defoko to get to say anything except "a" Even though i have all of the wav files! Please help me, I don't know if i installed it wrong, or some files did not save correctly.

Its not working. I have all the plugins and its not working. When I press okay It dosent show the tunning. Can anyone help me with this? Edit: okay so it's working but it won't show. It may just be lag but it changes the voice to sound a bit more human but it won't show the red lines
