Lol yes he does. Carmine hurts himself with any move that uses blood. He gets his health back from his 5L auto combo ender or his grab.

Carmine's 236X, 214X, 5B, 5BB, j.B, J.BB, and j.C all hurt him.

Sorry for necroing, but while yes, the majority of Carmine's moves hurt him, he can also regain health. His AAAA string ends with a grab, also his normal throw. Both can regen red HP and even more

The numbers next to the inputs are basically the fighting game inputs. They use the numeric pad for combo formulas. Diagram: 7. 8. 9 ↖️ ⬆️ ↗️ 4 ⬅️ 5 ➡️ 6 ↙️ ⬇️ ↘️ 1. 2 3 5A.A basically means "Press A twice" Inputs like 6B say "Press B while inputting forward" Inputs like 4C say "Press C while Inputting backwards" 7, 8, and 9, although rarely used, signal that you need to jump. This is also signaled by "Jc", which means Jump Cancel. 1, 2, and 3 all represent crouching inputs like 2A, 1B, or 3C. 2-3-6 inputs are basically Hadoken inputs. 2-1-4 inputs are basically backwards hadoken inputs 6-2-3 inputs are Shoryuken inputs 4-2-1 inputs are reverse Shoryuken inputs. 2-2 inputs tell you to input down twice. 4-1-2-3-6 inputs are like super hadoken inputs. 643217896 inputs are rotate inputs. 2[8] Inputs are upwards charge inputs. 8[2] Inputs are Downwards charge inputs. 6[4] inputs are forward charge inputs 4[6] are backwards charge inputs. You need to input the A after 214A as a 6A, so you'll slide forward far enough to connect. You also need to be at point blank range with the starting 5A.

Also seems to be a bit more consistent if you only do 5AA instead of 5AAA to start.

These are pretty basic combos if you plan to play competitively with Carmine If you merely play casually, then no they aren't that basic aside from the first combo and that first grab combo (Which even then have some slightly strict timing) I've learned that Basic doesn't equal easy/beginner-friendly in Fighting Games.
