Grace, welcome to the USA. I hope you meet many Americans that are super friendly and helpful as you get settled. When I visit Taiwan everyone is so kind. My your stay here in the USA be blessed with meeting many similarly kind people. Thank you for your excellent Chinese learning videos and for your excellent examples and pronunciation tips. All super helpful to a language beginner like me. Again, welcome to the USA!
I'm an American who was supposed to study in Taiwan this semester, but I'll have to wait because of the pandemic restrictions. I'm really glad you were able to come to the US though. If you get the chance to travel around the country, of course there are the typical places like New York and DC, but I really really recommend New Mexico and Arizona if you're able. New Mexico is my favorite state because its unique art, food, and cultural blend.
Ha! I recognise the stationary store. I used to go there every once in a while when I lived in Taipei. Good coincidence, good memories. Good videos too, keep it up!
Grace! You're one of the few channels that also use the built in RU-vid subtitles as well. This allows us to use the RU-vid language learning plug in, which is the best tool for learning chinese in my opinion! Thanks so much, it'd be great if you could continue to use these!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 congrats and welcome to the US! Hope you enjoy!! I have been trying to go to Taiwan for the past two years to study, but it hasn't happened yet. 😖 we have much of what Taiwan has. You can always buy clothes or things that you run out of.
Congrats on the internship. All the best in USA. Looking forward to more vlogs. Great listening practice and interesting. Your parents look like lovely people. Take care
Congrats on the internship! I’m happy you’re doing what you want in life. It’s so hard for me and my boyfriend (we’re American) to understand the concept of why other people want to come here when many Americans like us are DESPERATE to leave our country. Like, we’d much rather live in Taiwan!😢 There’s a reason for everything, I guess. We’d much rather have people like you, Grace, who take the pandemic seriously.🥰
Enjoy your stay and experience as much as you can! Don't spend too much time on vlogging! Recommend a trip to the Grand Canyon! Stay safe and avoid gangs!
Just FYI for those travelling to the US. I just got back from Taiwan all you need is a RAPID COVID test not PCR. Kuai something in Chinese haha. It's more than half the price for the rapid and you get the results within 30 minutes also.
Hi! Can you share more about your internship in the US? Things like how you look for them, get them, preparations, etc...would love to hear more about that! ^^ Nice vlog btw~ Really love your content ❤
Thanks for sharing. Congrats on your internship and hope you enjoy the journey. Be safe. Too bad you couldn’t come out to the West. Coast. Loved the video.
My wife is taiwanese ABC. You remind me of her packing style when she was in her 20s. I saw all your stuff and was like “yup, asian girl. Not much has changed”.
I still have trouble comprehending people traveling. Stay safe, meet the most wonderful people Grace. I have so many questions about the differences in work and daily life compared between Taiwan & the US. I hope you do more of these. Lots more. Please.
I just think it's funny the priority given to stationary, which I didn't really know was an English until my Taiwanese gf used it lol. Her dad mailed her a whole box of it all the way from TW, which, well, that wasn't cheap!
That’s so cool that you’re here in the US! 🇺🇸Enjoy your stay here and good luck with your internship! The next vlogs will be fun 😎 And you’re about to hit 100k!! Congratulations. Now that you’re in the USA, maybe shipping for the silver play button will be cheaper LOL
You might be making a mistake by buying so many things that can be bought when you get there... I did the same thing when I went to China. I packed full bottles of soap and shampoo and some other things and I ended up with SO MUCH LUGGAGE but what I didn't know isn't as available is my preferred makeup and deodorant! These days living in Taiwan, when I go back home I buy a lot of makeup and omg, TAMPONS!!! There's only OB here and they suck.
