Thanks for the fascinating zatsudan about otome, I've always been interested in the subject but found it kind of impenetrable compared to the mountains of media for guys. It's always wonderful when I can find more knowledgeable sources on josei-muke. Chat was right, we love hearing you go on about the stuff you really love. That's the stuff we're here for. I was especially interested to hear you compare otome to games like HuniePop and Bunny Garden which are extremely Guy Coded. The surface level emotional engagement and the emphasis on very crass and fun indulgences, versus the classic Girly Coded VN 'spend 30 hours with this guy and you might get a kiss, because it's really about the feelings and stuff man'. I definitely want to try making stuff that bridges the gap a little bit, or seek out more such content since I know there are games which feature a lot of emotion *and* a lot of seggs. Which also gets into questions of the differences in genres, and how much of that is social expectation versus inherent nature.
