Because it is really difficult 😆 You guys spend *years* learning kanji, how much more to us 😆 But I'm enjoying learning it. 😄 I've spent 10 days as im writing this, all I've learned so far is Hiragana, basic grammar and few words and although slow I count up to 9,999

Congratulations on 300K and thank you for the stream! You actually did quite well learning Japanese through Duolingo! Watching you study and chat helping you study was like a referesher course for me, a fellow baby learner!! Take your time on preparing for the karaoke stream!! Also, not sure if you realise it but you managed to roll your R's a lot when you were practising pronunciation, so yay BIG IMPROVEMENT POG

メモ配信内で出てきた「こんばんは」が「こんばん」「は」で分かれていた件について調べてみました。元々「こんばんは」は、「今晩は、○○ですね」みたいに後ろに続く言葉がありました。それが次第に後ろの言葉が省略され「今晩は」だけが残りました。よって、この「は」は元々助詞の「は」だっだのかもしれないです。ただ、今では「こんばんは」で1つの言葉で使われているのであの区切りは意味あるのか…と個人的に思っちゃいます。(ちなみに、こんにちは(今日は)も同様です。) こんばんは＝Good evening こんばんは＝今晩は〜今晩は〜＝tonight〜/〜tonight For example In ancient time, Japanese said How are you tonight? I don't know what to explain in English, so I want someone to translate English instead. I really think Mista is a genius. Because he thinks about his questions and then asks and solves them in his own way. I'm going to study English as hard as he does. (長文失礼しました。)

Congrats on 300k Mysta! And thank you for the lovely stream. I understand the frustration of learning another language as I also was not a native English speaker and had to go through special English classes, so yes I was like you and spoke and studied like a baby, I read children books and sing kid songs to help learn, I did not speak a single complete sentence during my first year studying in America, but I immersed myself in the language and gradually I learnt to speak it and read and write fluently. Wanting to repeat sentences and making sure you understand how sentence structures work is normal and a very good studying habit!
