This one is sooooooooo important!!
This one will take your Japanese to the next level.
You can express yourself so much better if you master this one!
It's used a lot in Real life and we use it to express that we are disappointed, frustrated, sad, and also, surprised. We can use it when we find something strange as well.
Honestly, if you know this one, you will understand a lot more what Japanese people are expressing and also, you can express yourself like a native speaker! Don't miss this one!

Hello.... can i have a request for your next video? I still don't understand well when to use んです/なんです, and when to use just です/ます. I made mistakes quite often when i should have just written です/ーます only, I wrote んです/なんです instead. And when i wrote ます/です only, that's actually the time i should have written んです/なんです. お願いいたします🙏

I meant that you cannot use たい/ しよう!/ てください in the second clause, after のに. Before のに you can use たい like いきたいのに、しごとがある。 I have some work to do even though I want to go. But you can't say しごとがあるのに、いきたい! you cannot say いきたい in the second clause!!!!

I am just a little confused with the last point, you say のに cannot be used to express what you want, your desire, and use けど instead… but in your very last sentence you say もっとアップロードしたいのに... why not using けど as したい express what you want? ありがとうMiku and please keep on the good work you are awesome!! ❤️

授業は続いてるのに、先生は歌って悲しくなってた。 「いい子、いい子。夢は絶対に叶いますよ。春は絶対に来ますよ。だから元気になってください。」 でも先生に「いい子、いい子」と言うのは完全に可笑しいでしょう...どうやって大人を慰められますか?「いい子、いい子」は子供、「よし、よし」はペットと子供だと思います。大人は...? And I agree about Sekkaku. It's basically the "all" in English. "Despite _all_ my efforts, she still didn't like me". But I feel like it's also just an optional pair. I don't know how Japanese people are taught Japanese grammar, but I picture it being (せっかく)...のに where sekkaku is optional, and noni is required, but they come as a pair. Mandarin Chinese has pairs like that. 如果。。。(的话)where native speakers don't really have to use the last part, but the first part is required. The English equivalent of that Chinese phrase is the same, "If..... (then)". If I go to the store, (then) I'll buy food. 如果我去商店(的话),我买餐饮。 So I think Sekkaku might be an optional part of the noni structure, from a foreigner's point of view. Especially since it itself doesn't have much of a direct meaning outside of noni.

It's funny, there's a similar word to のに in Finnish which is called 'no niin' ('nonii'/'no nii' spoken/contracted variations). It also has multiple meanings depending on the context. Finnish comedian Ismo Leikola made a stand-up session about that word; it's funny because most of what he says is very accurate. If you're interested, here's that stand-up (English subs available) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9EWMlCusxjQ.html

I have to wonder why so many words end up being katakana words for, what seem to me, basic things. The example I see in this video is キャンセルする, but also recently was stumped by the word リスト in a sentence. There must be words for cancel or list in Japanese, so why this usage? Thanks as always, Sensei.
