It's AI upscaled and frame interpolated. Mostly looks better but the upscaling can make things look a bit weird or inconsistent and the interpolation can ironically make the animation look choppy and unsteady. Done decently well here.

公式と言っても分からないくらい上手くて鳥肌よくあるこういう系の動画はムチャクチャ加工してとにかく切り替えを早くして、何が映ってるか分からなくして雰囲気出してるのが多いのにこの動画は元アニメの良さが生きてるのに違和感なく統一感があってすごい

I remember when the first edit of chainsawman with this song came out way before the anime got announced. I thought there's no way any oficial opening can top this, but now I think, they did it so perfectly that flashback comes out flat
