This event was phenomenal in every possible way. Every character is excellent, every theme hits home, every song is deeply emotional, all of the story threads wove together, and every plot revelation is significant and well done. It is the perfect blend of melancholy and hope. We learned so much about so many things, that it's not really possible to look at anything in Arknights the same way again. And, in hind sight, that's exactly what Kristin wanted. Goodnight, Kristin.
After completing the story event, I can’t stop crying every time this theme plays. 😭 My heart is very gentle and easily swayed for emotional stories. “Goodnight, Tera.” “Goodnight, Universe.” Goodnight, Kristen.
Booting the lobby up for the first time and hearing "A new age is upon us." Gives me chills... and when the lobby image flips after beating the main stages...
This lobby theme feels like your exploring an unknown yet vast place full of wonders and beauty!!! I wonder if we could get more Priestess lore aswell?
Hmm... yeah, but if we're getting Priestess, then we'll also need Rhodes Island landship lore. Like back on Vigilo, when we ask PRTS about who Priestess was, we got denied by the needs of a much higher clearance. Yet, we do get something, like Priestess photo with us, together before Rhodes Island deck. We believe that the landship is nothing but a relic that lying in dust on Rim Biliton, but the mystery makes me shiver if it comes to a battle on Rhodes Landship, with the ship turning against us.
Really gives me "out there" sci-fi vibes. Who knew AK would suddenly become Star Trek or something. Tho knowing AK it's more like it's becoming Moonraker...
She was a villain for the sacrifices she made along the way, but we can't hate her, because nothing is more human than what lengths she was willing to go through to achieve her dream. No one betrayed her out of some moral awakening, even the guiltiest of her loyal followers stopped at nothing to see her dream come true, because their own dreams also come true as a consequence. Quoting the event itself, they were all "walking on the same path". In the end, the supposed villain won, but it did not result in a glooming despair, or a major setback for society, what this villain did by winning was light a fire in the hearts of everyone in the world, a fire they never knew existed. Quoting the event itself, Kristen Wright ushered in a new era for Terra, for the sake of progress, for humanity as a whole. Scientists are the greatest dreamers, for it is through science that we grasp what was once impossible.
The villain we are opponent for, but not enemy of. The villain we fought against, but not without respect. The villain we clash ideals with, but stronger in resolve. The villain that knew their ideals are beyond their lifetime, knows it, and puts themselves as the dirty hand of history
@@Shaegirthe team we played against, but didn't hate. The team that we held respect for, even if they weren't OUR team The team who we rooted for, as long as they weren't playing against our team The team that did everything wrong, to try and be in the hall of fame and inspire a new generation to also do the same, to take up the helmets and pads and struggle into a new age, guided by passion and desire to achieve their dreams of being the next Tom Brady
The trailer music, the lobby theme, the battle theme. They all give me such a sense of finality. It really hammers home the intensity and potential of what this event is going to unveil.
After reading Three Body Problem trilogy I've read an interview with Liu Cixin, the author - he said that China recognized the importance of sci-fi on the official level or something like that, they've seen the importance of it among the Western students and scientists of STEM, etc. I think it's a great thing that the sci-fi is getting recognized like that in conjunction with the science and possible inspiration for the young students and potential scientists later. With the products like that and the events like Lonetrail I can already see that a lot of sci-fi fans are very intrigued and curious about the event and want to know more about it. I can't wait to play this event too, but on a global server.
Funfact: you know the early-Sixties Bell Rocket Belt that's pretty much directly responsible for the enduring cottage industry of jetpack tinkering? That was partly inspired by an earlier French patent for a propulsion system for skiers (yikes) whose inventor explicitly claimed inspiration from a pulp yarn that appeared in Gernsback's _Amazing Stories_ magazine back in the late Twenties...
On the one hand I absolutely agree sci-fi rocks but on the other. have you been reading Kirsten's story? Like I get the message but this one ain't it, that's the whole point.
Just finished the story, and at first the lobby was impactful and make me feel something inside, that is til i finished the story and this theme just hits much harder than it should be. She may be a villain for many, but to us Kristen is just one who wants to show the world the truth and what beyond the veil of their world. Goodnight Terra. Goodnight, Kristen. Goodnight, Pioneer.
After finishing the last stage and having the lobby wallpaper of the Galleria changed... [LONE TRAIL SPOILERS] I just... stared at the screen with this music... pondering about Kristen's fate. This music is just phenomenal, i know they added the vivarium background, but it'll be cool if this music have its use other than being the lobby theme of Lonetrail. This is a very huge copium, but I'd like to see Kristen in Endfield where her Galleria Stellaris got retrieved somehow.
same but i ike where Lone Trail ended her story on. so the very least they can do is have a statue of Kristen in Endfield as a tribute to the true pioneer. cause if they do bring Kristen to Endfield, they better have an amazing storyline prepared for her, cause im sure no one is accepting a subpar story about her after this masterpiece
@@TomoyaOkazaki13 haha dont mind my musings. Unless space travelling in Endfield is posible, or the spacefaring technology has rapidly advanced enough after Saria became the Control, enough to create another capable spacecraft to search for the missing GA, its highly unlikely to retrieve it with the current technological barrier. Im simply a fool who can only hope.
I think this event was the very touching one, the story, music, character, all of them was making me crying 😢❤ i hope Kristen was still there but... She already gone and say goodbye for Terra 😔💔
@@eazyeziaprilo9414 there is one Saria quote that really hits it home. "A real pioneer should be clearing the way for humanity. Not jumping head first in the abyss, never to return". But there is another hopium here. After finishing one of the case investigations, i got an image, the one with saria and silence looking up to the sky after saria literally fell 5 km from the sky and silence helped her. The caption is "It's a long way back, but there's still time". There is still time for what?? (snorts copium and hopium in the same time)
This song makes me feel like I uncovered a very sad and depressing truth, something I cannot change no matter how hard I try. But somehow I need to find a way to move on and not give up.
I get a slightly differing one. "You cannot change fate, you will live and die, succeed and fail, become as a star or the blank nothingness of the void. But you cannot change it, because that is fate." "Is that so? Watch me. Keep your stinking eyes on me, and watch me burn as bright as all the stars in the night sky, watch me fight harder than ever before, and watch me never give in to despair!" "If you wish to struggle unto eternity, then so be it, but you are merely wasting-" "Its my life, and my fate. No matter what, I'll fight to secure our 'happy' ending!" "As I'm sure you will." "I've got to get back now, the others are waiting." "As am I, young one."
I don't really spoil myself for the event till the day itself and what I see for the theme and aesthetic and hear from the ost. This is the first time that the game made me cry showing how much I'm in love with the event already
To the stars, and beyond.... Good night Terra Good night Universe Good night Kirsten Terra shall sing you praises for your achievements once Endfield comes....
Just finished story in one go.....took me 7 hours. And I'm just speachless. This has to be on the rank along with Nier automata and Disco Elysium. This lobby theme just left me ponder solitarily in the night.....
@@sekischro5093 RhineLab launched an “orbital weaponry platform” project under the sponsorship of Columbia government, and Kristen herself soon went MIA alongside all of the researchers / agents that were on this project. Different factions began searching for their whereabouts - while many of them suspected that Kristen would use such device to bring ruination upon Columbia, in vengeance for her parents. However, Kristen launched the platform into the sky before anybody could reach the facility’s exact location. The platform ascended straight upwards onto a height that lied right underneath the “barrier of the stars”, an astronomical barrier that distorted the actual universe from being observed. It was at this moment that the protagonists realized Kristen’s actual plan was to launch the “weaponry platform” - a circular shaped scientific laboratory in fact - through the barrier and right into space. Saria was able to board the laboratory with an aircraft and eventually fought her way to Kristen, who eventually tricked Saria to fall back to ground through a hidden escape gateway, while the latter was trying to take Kristen back onto the ground safely. Now alone, Kristen launched the energy device remotely and powered through the barrier of stars. The true sight of universe was shown to all Terra. Knowing that she was at the point of no return since the Laboratory was not built to be able to withstand the harsh environment of universe, Kristen went into an sleep pod and fall into long coma, with the laboratory - or whatever remains of it - permanently staying in the orbit of Terra. “Now, good night, Terra.” “Now, good night, universe.”
The song about exploration of unknown world but it feels like reaching final destination or end of destination. Reading doktah lore make this more of sad song like " we reach the end/ the truth but now what?"
I'm ngl, this theme gives me the feeling of a character or more, sitting down on an open space, looking up to the starry night sky, and say "Yeah, we've done it. We've completed our journey. Our mission. Now what?" while mourning their lost friend and recall all the journeys they have made. All the good times. All the hardship. But that's just my personal opinion.
Gotta agree with you there. WID, amazing Lobby and EX CM BGM, infamous boss, amazing lore on ex-wife. Still one of my favs. But is it just me (being newish at the time), or was mid 2021 peak event time for AK? Story, music, graphics presentation, and event gimmick wise, it was nonstop bangers from Mansfield all the way to Undertides. My absolute fav lobby and battle themes are still from Who Is Real. My first real wow moment in AK.
@@tempota7792 Me too, 2021 is really an Arknights year but they destroy it with whole Dossoles fiasco Who is Real is still the best CNY event from all aspects, ITW is almost on pair with WiR from their new NPC designs but the event mechanic is really bad, and the next CNY (Vernal Wind) is meh (poor Chong Yue)
@@hermanwillem7057the music is the first thing that grabs you and it never lets go. It captured the event and setting immaculately, just like StultNavis. Then as a bonus we didn't even know we needed, throw in a loud doggo's cute face on the main screen, emo antag, amazing mechanics², and an unexpected philosophical take on Buddhism and it's just. 😘👌 With that said, Lone Trail'a BGMs (and judging by the comments about the story too) is looking like it'll be another November banger.
I remind it! It's kalafina - sprinter I'm so love this OST and the PV's, and the story is incredible! Feel so lonely after reading all the story of Lone Trail😭
I'm going to be frank, I love this theme, but it is because I can't help but hear my favorite theme in the Fate Lost Butterfly (Can you save her?/I beg you). And from what I hear this event deserves such an emotional theme.
It's her bloodline of combat skin as far as I can tell, the same one used during her fight with Ifrit and later, Control; idk if they've rerun it before but fingers crossed
@@darrenong9064 The Bloodline of Combat skins basically all rerun regularly for stuff like anniversary and half anniversary, keep an eye out it'll definitely be around again ^^
Thank you always for your service, RiverV! >w< Hnn, considering this has been awhile, this is not planned for like a 30min extension, is it? _Edit:_ Oh nvm, I found it on your other channel, just OST version! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S_plJgKpWrg.html For those looking for an extension of the in-game one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MIHMh05MhOc.html
