They look miserable, dirty and depressed. They're huddling towards each other like they're scared of the keepers. The cage also doesn't look cold enough!!
They always guard their young like that, putting themselves between them and any other creature/person/whatever. I know they look silly, but they're not stupid or aloof regarding their young... They're also extremely instinct driven, so they'll treat anything larger than them as a potentially dangerous regardless of who or what you are. They were purposely huddling the baby against the glass the same way they would with a ledge or a larger group of penguins anytime another creature even strolls by....
The people turned on the flashlight in front of this penguin family..😑 Of course, you can forget turning it off. But normally this kind of mistake does not happen just one time by one person. If it happens to them 10 times per month. It will be terrifying enough for their mental health. I think the zoo keepers need to keep the room bright enough to prevent the auto-flashlight. Or to provide any light protection on the glass.
I love penguins so much, but this is depressing. They shouldn't be held captive. They deserve to live freely in their natural habitat. They look miserable and scared.
Yeah. Who knows what happened, maybe they were found sick or injured in Antarctica so the people took them to a place to help them, but they didn't want to leave and they laid an egg at the zoo. Or people just kidnapped them
@@annelee2982 of course, I agree with that. I'm just rebutting, specifically, the idea that life is always more comfortable for an animal in the wild....while it surely often is the case, being in one's element is no guarantee of well-being, and the whole issue ought to be concerned with individual animals, as they all have distinct personalities---rather than being decided by broad, sweeping judgements. That's all.
Their homes are melting. They were probably found sick or injured in Antarctica, so the people helped them, but they didn't want to leave and they had a baby at the zoo/aquarium
8:08 the baby ran to his parents as fast as he could. He was basically saying "mom! Dad! Save me from these hideous aliens! They were putting me on this weird thing, shoving huge freezing fish up my throat, and scratching my chest!"
I love penguins, but this is just depressing. Locked in a small square, being a tourist attraction. They already captive, at least leave them in the larger area without disturbing them.
you're really undermining actual torture. The word carries less and less weight over time, and it sucks because actual claims of torture get more easily drowned out. Hell, the word "abuse" is already spent; I can tell you from experience that in my city, anonymous reports of "abuse" don't get followed up on anymore because apparently the term gets so overused now, so good job....
