Both the smooth scrolling and the voice clips the update also appears to have added are honestly a little unsettling, since several large bosses still move clunkily like the Shadow Dancer and some voice clips are garbled into stuff like "painful laser" and "carotid laser."
Because they used Background animation tiles to animate them, which is pretty common during the times of 8 and 16 bit games to use that technique to reduce sprite flicker

@@ubiased23 you can yeah, but for some reason the voices played nor the scc cartridge. Weirdly MSX patch Gradius does work with the voices so I have no idea what's up.
