They are so beautiful and so amazing. It's incredible how they can remind us so much of ourselves. Shabani coming outside to Nene and giving her that nervous side-eye and a gentle touch to mend the argument. So heartwarming. And Shabani is magnificent ❤️🌹
I adore Nene & Kiyomasa, BUT..Sad to me that in this and other videos of Nene attacking Annie that afterwards she sits alone looking scared and confused and her mom, Al does not defend or comfort Annie after. I know Nene is Al's mom, but Al should be watching out for her daughter and AT LEAST check on her and cuddle her afterwards.Annie seems confused because I'm sure she was playing and then to be attacked when she did not meaning harm by grandmom then Kiyomasa gets comfort and she is attacked and gets nothing from her mom. Nene is a great mom, but she over reacts at times and Annie is a baby and I'm sure Kiyomasa can defend himself.*( See **1:34** )* for little Annie looking sad, confused and maybe even embarrassed. Poor little Girl. Come on, Al, give little Annie some affection after such a scary situation.
Also, Annie got a slam and pounding. Im sure she was hurting. i ボッシュ, where was Al at? Didn't she hear her baby screaming? Did Al check on her at all after? Mary Eddy I assume that maybe AI didn’t feel ready / adéquate to be a mom when she had Annie and didn’t have that motherly feeling or bond towards her. The zookeeper raised Annie before introducing her back to the family because AI somehow couldn’t raise her. I read it on Wikipedia page about shabani. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shabani_(gorilla) It is sad that out of circumstance Annie wouldn’t survive in the wild because AI would not nurture her from birth. But it is also sad that even though Annie was allowed to survive due to human intervention, she isn’t being comforted by her biological mom as she grows up. She has to be a strong girl on her own and with shabani’s help

I agree that Al not being ready and Al and Nene never saw (ACCEPTED) Annie as their Child or grandchild so that hurt her chances to bond with them, be protected & loved like a mom and Grand mother would love their baby. I think for everything sad and unfortunate Annie has endured, she is a very strong, caring, playful and loving little Gorilla-girl. She has a very strong spirit but I see a lot of compassion she displays for others. Shabani always watched over his little girl and for some reason I think Shabani knew that was his little girl, where Al and Annie didn't make (know) or care about that family connection with Annie. Shabani adores Annie and makes sure NO other Gorillas there hurt or push her too far (teasing, etc) Shabani is a very loving and playful dad. Good! Nene got just exactly what she deserves from Shabani but she didn't get enough. All thru poor Annie's year she has bullied and beat Annie for no reason what so ever she has never accepted Annie and therefore has divided thus family. Can you imagine living like poor Annie unaccepted in the same household.
Yes, but she has the best on her side ❤️ plus when I watched the story of Annie, before she was released to the troop the caretakers would bring her to the side of their cage to slowly introduce her…and Shabani was the only one who stayed the whole time…I actually got choked up from that one.

It's extremely out of character for a female gorilla to attack another female gorillas baby, even in the wild. To this day I'm not sure why she kept doing it. I'm sure it had a lot to do with jealously. Because annie certainly was never harming kyo when they were playing. Unfortunately shabani had to be really hard on nene because she just wouldn't stop. If shabani didn't scold her like that , she most likely would have killed annie.
1:02 Look at her forearm - that’s a massive abrasion! Poor Nene. On the other hand, Shabani looks very guilty at the end when he casts his apologetic glances at her and extends his hand. But Nene is not yet ready to forgive.

Is Annie a problem because her mother rejected her? As I understand it Shabani stayed by Annie’s side whilst she was reared by the keepers, this would explain his devotion to her.
Ai is a joke for a mother and I don’t understand why everyone gives her a pass or would even wish for her to give birth again. She knows very well Annie is her daughter and was given opportunity to take her back but she simply doesn’t care and all the delusional people in the comment section make excuses for her and also making human love scenarios for gorillas that are captive.

With the look on Shabani's face I think he knew he overreacted. There are a lot of dynamics in this family. Nene gets mad at him and lets him know, but she doesn't hit him(not that I blame her). But Ai will.go right after him and smack him lol. She is also much younger than Nene. He isn't as rough with her in the new enclosure
I have seen how Ai will attack Shabani with fists flying and she also loves to throw things at him. Ai is a very strong female and she is bigger than most female gorilla's. Perhaps this is why Shabani shows no interest in mating with Ai, she shows him no respect. I love the close ups on Ai, she has a beautiful face and her fur is lovely.She is very caring and maternal towards her little brother Kiyo, maybe now that she is more mature she would be a good mother to a new baby. Shabani is such a great father he deserves more children.
Nene who’s the grandmother attacked Annie because her and kiyomasa were playing and she saw that as her attacking her baby. The silverback Shabani basically just put nene in her place and accidentally hurt her arm and tried to apologize at the end

Nene saw Annie riding on Kiyomasa and thought her son was being attacked by Annie. It seems that this play(pull from below)was often done. But in an accident where Annie fell on Kiyomasa, Nene and Shabani fought.
Well she's the only one who was kidnapped from the wild and wasn't born in captivity. I think she would be quite happy to go home to the forest. Have some empathy lol.

I noticed that he's always messing with that same female. It looks like he hurt her arm pretty bad. When does it come to a point to maybe move her to another zoo. Send her over to Momotaros place. It would so much calmer there. Maybe a change for her wouldn't hurt.
This was just because she was hurting his daughter. He just makes nene mad so she chases him. He just loves to play and be chased. He could easily kill nene if he wanted but shabani had a good temperament actually for a silverback. He obviously felt bad he hurt her I doubt he meant to.
Not a good idea to send her over to Momotaro. If Nene is capable of attacking and bullying a baby can you imagine her bullying and attacking Genki and Kintaro....the zoo knows what they are doing. Perhaps another female but with the right personality

@@twemont yes she would have, Nene has never accepted Annie as part of the family, luckily Annie has grown up a strong gorilla, but Shabani will always have a watchful eye for Annie and make sure she is OK 🦍
