She sold talent not sex. The complete package and more. Unbelievable energy levels and polished and flawless performance. I only wish she would dance some more. She is a fabulous dancer with real attitude.
respectfully, did you not see her turn around and rub her coochie for the audience at 3:30? she is selling sex and talent and she's stocked the fuck up
Sheila E is the most beautiful woman I have seen in my entire life. I'm a 57-year-old man, so I've seen plenty of women. I was in the Marines in 1986, when I first learned of her. She was, more or less, my pinup girl back then. I've just never seen another woman as beautiful as her.
Girl STILL has it goin' on... She's aged well, and her style hasn't changed much. Still damned sharp, and has more rhythm in one little finger, than most folks will ever have in their entire body... all that, on top of being beautiful, and having a beautiful singing voice... That girl is the whole package!
A TRUE ARTIST! I remember when I first saw Shelia E on tv when I lived in San Antonio, TX back in the 80's That Glamerous Life video was requested every hour on the hour on MTV and *BET. Even on the radio! I just bought the tape and played the hell out of it. It'still a gem today for those like me who truly appreciate REAL MUSIC.
I agree with you there but i believe they both taught each other a thing or two.......I love their kinship where music is concerned. I have a HUGE respect for them both.
Prince went to see her play in 77. Sheila was already playing for other big named people. So she didn't need Prince. He did help her also. But she was relevant before Prince.
I seen this show back in the day @ Phoenix Symphony Hall and let me tell u It was one of the BEST live shows EVER!!! I wish everyone could have experienced the whole concert as i did, we never sat down for shit. It was one big happy fun dancing party. I've seen many try to copy her but to no avail she's one of a kind.
6librascales9 Indeed it was the best time for artist & musicians, who knew how to rock the party, absolutely the best days of life, got chance to see her @ Disney back in the day when this came out, like you said there was no sitting down, I felt like I was part of the band
The joy about this kind of music will keep coming back. Whether its because someone told them or they heard a remix. Or like me who caught a unsung episode...the only things that matters is that ppl keep coming back. 1 day 2 wks 3 months.....
Esto si era una artista de verdad solita se comia vivito el escenario sin necesidad de tantos bailarines. Grande SHEYLA E. bellos tiempos ochenteros que jamas volveran!
Can feel the Afro-latin blood flow through in her drumming. She is a very talented drummer along with her contempory Phil Collins were the two most talented drummer-singer combination of the 1980s.
I think I've pin-pointed where Sheila E. got her look, as well as her attitude. In the late 70's, Pamela hensley played Princess Ardala on "Buck Rogers in The 25th Century" Sheila E.'s Look and Attitude, is pure Ardala; I'm sure of it!
If there would be 1 thin girl I would liked to have been, it would be this one and in general I don't like to be skinny. Even my boyfriend wouldn't like it 🤣🤣 But Sheila E has so much class, in the eighties it was all about style and she had lots of it. I love how she plays the cymbals, it is unique, really admire female musicians. Sheila E. Never trashy always supercool looking and attractive at the same time. She has the greatest legs ever and always wore fantastic outfits. She is such a beautiful AND talented woman. I would have liked to see Sheila E. & Prince celebrate their 50th anniversary, they would have been the perfect couple. Always a fan in Belgium for you Señora Sheila. Tú quedas la más bonita, según mi opinion. 💯👋💃💯🌷Diós te cuida para siempre, por dóndequiera. 🙏❤️🍀💜🍀💐🍀
She started as Prince's drummer but like all the musicians Prince picked up including Morris Day another as 8-10 out of Minneapolis all connected to Prince from the 1980s and 1990s
She is way more than a pretty face!! She comes from a history of percussionists! Just so happens that she marketed herself in the pop 80's era....Like Prince...got stuck there....
