While missing a couple of their virtuoso players from 2019,Kindai maintain their Super Professional Standard. So confident, relaxed and assured in their playing, they are truly at one with their music and they blow me away!! Delighted that so many remained from the previous year including my favourite sax player (soloing at 1:14) with her "impish" smile and new short hairstyle (great!) although it's almost anathema to have favourites when all of these kids are so so talented! GO KINDAI - YOU ARE MY NUMBER 1 !!!
Yes Jay... I too really like this alto player. She takes chances and really explorfes the entire horn-the modernists would say she is not afraid to "take it outside" She is under used but there is so much talent here the director has to move the solos around too. Love the trumpet soloist here too. A little Freddie, a little Roy Hargrove -great use of "space" in her solo. Keep listening there is so much here.
"QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY!!!" When any player is instructed to feel the music as all of these students have you get this quality. The soloists are magnificent and being a brass player I can say the trumpet solo was outstanding. On my list. Hope you respond to me.
WOW !!!! Where have I been the past year and not heard of this Brass Band Club before?? Great sounding ensemble, with solo players that are playing fantastically beyond their years. Well rehearsed and directed. You want a solo? tell me what key and "let me rip"....BRAVO Arigatou...... Oh Yea, I've subscribed !!!!
