I am not one to write on youtube comments, but I have to make an exception. This mix is what made me fall in love with Nujabes, I discovered this around pandemic time, and it helped me go through many many nights of hard work. I am now on the brink of graduating college, and listening to this while I do my final assignment and I just wanted to say Thank you. And for those that are either starting or in the middle of your college journey, getting home from a hard day of work or just vibing with this amazing mix, I hope you overcome all your challenges and learn to love what you are builiding.
Grande, Sebas! Sos un crack, congrats on your achievements. I had a similar experience through my college years with this music, and many years after, now in grad school, it still gets me through the tough times. Keep on keeping on, bro!
Appreciate the positivity brodie. Just starting my second year of college right now so thats pretty exciting. Hope you have good luck finding a job or going onto higher education after you graduate my man.
This takes me back. I remember sitting in my room as a kid, watching samurai champloo on my first own tv in the early 2000's. Discovering Nujabes and trying to find Sebas music before RU-vid was a thing. 2 decades later and I'm still listening to him every day, finding inspiration for my own work. Rest in peace Seba.
Do I ruin your 20 year parasocial relationship to Seba if I reveal that Japanese use their clan aka family name in front. So for us lowly English speakers his original name is Jun Seba. He is Jun, as we don't just call someone by their family name.
Real art never gets old. A perfect example is "Metaphorical Music". The album was released in 2003 and you can perfectly listen to how much has inspired modern chillhop. Fly high Seba-san
Today is nujabes's birthday he would have been 48 this year rest in peace to this amazing artist he really knew how to manifest emotion in to music my personal favorite of his songs are Worlds End Rhapsody, Lady Brown, A world Without words, the entire luv sic hexalogy, Music is Mine, Spiritual State, And Perfect Circle. His Music has not only helped me but also inspired me. If you didn't Know he shares the exact birthday of another legendary producer by the name of j Dilla and he is also a very great producer and has produced some of the best music I have heard. Its a shame that a lot of people only hear of these 2 after their death me included but I am genuinely grateful that I was able to listen to their music and I am even more thankful that they made music.
i started hearing nunjabes music like 5 years a go or so, because i watched samurai champloo, only his music has the ability to completly calm down my mind. As its said on my language Goian bego (rest in peace)
Yep. My heart breaks every time I hear his music. Such an excellent artist... and now he's gone. Way too soon! I'd gladly trade places with him and give him the rest of how much time I have left on this little blue star. Nujabes, your memory lives on!
Discovered Nujabes through Samurai Champloo - nowadays when I need some soulful hiphop I always reach for Nujabes. Aruarian Dance is in my top 10 favourite beats of all time. Love this mix
I cried so hard when "Luv(Sic) Part 2 feat. Shing02" played.... part of me deep inside awoke and smiled again :) thanks for putting this playlist together for all of us!
The saying "Legends Never Die" hit hard when I listened to this mix. Instantly took me to my Middle school nostalgia, binge watching Samurai Champloo then downloading its OST and other Nujabes songs on my Ipod touch. Thank you for this compilation commemorating the godfather of Lofi hiphop.
This music helped me change my outlook on life and I will be forever grateful for the art Nujabes and Uyama Hiroto (with the help of amazing wordsmiths) have created.
@@hids3965 2hrs:24mins. "It's about Time." is the only one I heard, with one F...we feel the same with our family with swear words... pretty good other than that. I can't trash the whole mix for that one. But, I'll keep a close ear for more.
the resurgence of Aruarian dance 2:28:44 all over anime TikTok/YT reels brought me here. As a 25-year-old anime fan who has been watching anime since 5 years old, I don't know how i missed out on this gem of a man. But, I'm glad to have now been exposed to his works. RIP, what a loss.
I remember when I was a Senior in high school and one of my best friends at the time wanted to hang out and go for a walk to watch the sun rise and it must've been like 5am when he had called. We both went to a park and just sat there and waited patiently as we talked about our fleeting youth. How we were taking the next steps as young adults and speculating about where life would take us after high school. He would always play Najubes in the background any time he could, but it felt completely different and special that cold morning. I remember that (if god willing) I would grow up but I had no Idea where life would be taking me. I remember I would think of those moments until I was much older. How right I was.12 years later and I come back to reminisce on the beauty of that very early morning and watching the sunrise with my friend. Life is something else isn't it?
Wherever this world may take us we should remember what path is right for our self and go from there because life will test us in many different ways so one must stick to thy self by living the best we could because we live once.
I remember listening to some of Nujabes music when I was watching Samurai Champloo around 15 years ago. I am studying and I was searching for chill music and here I am. Guess what? Mystline is my ringtone now.
I thank this video with all my heart for helping me get through my dissertation. I've known about and respected Nujabes for a long time, but never sat down to appreciate his music. I'm not someone that can get work done while listening to music, but the way his music flows so naturally just manages to get me in the flow of working like nothing ever has before. Thank big man, I owe you more than you could know, wish you were still with us.
Hace medio año conocí a este artista, y debo decir (aunque suene extraordinario) sentí que volví a nacer, escuché Luv sic part 2 y en ese momento pensé que nunca había escuchado algo tan celestial.
Never forget the adult swim DJ event he did, he showed out, he did mostly Champloo tracks but still, dope, couldn't believe it when he was announced dead, that hurt hard, now him, Dilla, doom chilling, BEATS IN PEACE ✌️
