I hope Nene is recovering. She's an old girl and I am worried about her. Kiyomasa is so adorable and furry, I just want to hug him and Annie too. They are really beautiful animals but who wouldn't be if Shabani is your daddy. He is really, really ridiculously good looking. I hear all the girls in Japan are in love with him (I know I am). Seriously Shabani seems to have the heart of a fashion model and the looks of a movie star. Thanks again for the explanation about Nene. They really help us poor English speakers.

Mary Eddy I thank you for your love. Nene was sick and did not eat for a week. Gorilla families were not all energetic. I was worried. I am glad that Nene has healed.
It is heartbreaking to see any of them suffer and looking so weak and ill. Thank God she is ok. Thank you so much for the videos and detailed info!! ((HUGS)) You are such a kind and gracious person. :-)
Thankfully Nene is doing really well Mary, since moving to the new enclosure all the Shabani family look much healthier and happier especially Nene, she really enjoys the outside space and takes herself off to the top of the tower for some peace and quiet time. She is amazing for her age.
Nene is eating grass to vomit. She also always puts her hands over her eyes as though the sun hurts her eyes. I wonder if she suffers from migraines like I do. Shabani has such human gestures. He is a human in a Silverback suit
I adore this gorilla family. I'm not being mean or anything and maybe this is a dumb question but why does her lower lip drop and the others don't. I've noticed that in other videos of this gorilla family.
Shabani has hurt her before during his fits of rage. Although probably not so much to hurt her but to remind her he’s the boss. Happens in wild to. They r animals.
Could you please give us some information about Nene. She looks so thin!! And her little one is clearly concerned about her. Wanting to snuggle with her and be close. Please let us know how she is doing !!!
Thank you SO much for getting back to me. I was really worried about her. It was sure wonderful to see the way little Kiyomasa (I assume that was Kiyomasa) showed concern for his mum! Love and good wishes to Nene to continue getting healthy.
Kiyomasa, her son was always so affectionate with mommy. They hug, cuddle often and he even worries if Shabani chases her and he follows mommy to make sure she is ok. They have a strong and beautiful bond that is rare. He is clearly worried and watching mommy closely. Im so glad she is getting better and stronger because i feel that little Kiyomasa would be lost and devastated without his loving mommy, Nene. Was in tears watching this. To see Shabani standing guard and watching over her, indicated to me he was worried and that scared me until i read comments that she was cured and eating. I adore and love them so much, they become like family and it is heartbreaking to see any suffer. Thiis page is wonderful.
