Actually people still flood the 2 sides of the barriers, and that cause a lot of traffic jams at large intersections. 🤣 Luckily, this one is a one-way road. 🤣
It looks like a GC-270 from China, but this train is shorter than the prototype. I have had the honor to photograph it several times. It often appears on local railways in China.
If there werent a barrier, nobody would give a **it - and when the train would plow through, still nobody would give a sh**t. Fortunately for those guys, there is that barrier...
Lights start flashing, literally no one slows down and people speed up to cross the tracks, while mopeds continue to use the tracks as a route. What kind of stupidity is that?
they just trust into the train workers that they will close off the crossing early enough, that nothing happens to them. Also they leave some of the gates open, so that you can evade the train.
Nah more than that, around 15 trains each shift (a shift took 12 hours) (increse to 20+ trains during holidays) If you are lucky, your shift begin at 6am to 6pm. But sometime you have to work from 6pm to tomorrow 6am too (rip sleep). You also have to take a lot of notes and phone calls, check the equipments, and if someone is stuck you have to run toward the train and wave black flag to signal them. Plus, you are not allowed to use smartphone during your shift, even when there is no train.
For those of you who say they should put an underpass or overpass at this crossing, I am sure the local government and railway company would love to have it built. It just takes money they do not have. All infrastructure problems are extremely expensive to impossible to solve if you are a developing country. It's a classic catch 22 situation. Even the USA struggles with infrastructure problems.
How no one bothers to stop for the flashing lights 😂 Where i live you would have the police chasing you to give you a 200+ $ fine lol. Those guys at 1:14 rolling in the fence are risking their lives.. if a car or truck crashes into it while they are standing behind it, it will be game over for them.
Well, the red light says "train approaching". They know the train is slow at that crossing and that they can easily pass because they will close the train gates early enough for that.
Also you see the guy with the flag? Only when HE shows "go" the train is allowed to start the crossing. The train has to stop until it gets it's go sign. That's by the way the rule on every railroad crossing, there is always a sign, mostly a light sign, for the train driver that shows him (mostly by flashing lights) that the crossing is closed. And that signal is far enough before the crossing, that he can safely stop.
Oh and by the way: my car driving teacher, a german one like you also had, has teached me, that when you get the red light on a german railroad crossing and you are already right before the bark - press the gas! it's better to go OVER the crossing then instead of heavily breaking and causing an accident with the car behind you!
It s a shame they don t build a bridge or tunnel for that! Look also how much polution you get for that. But you can t blaim Vietnam, they are still suffering for the war. I wish Vietnam succes> they are good people who works very hard, they deserves a nice country.
I think it must be a very efficient way to make a barricade. if the barricade is run by a robot in this lots of bike traffic system, it is a very high possibility that bikes will ignore the traffic signals
