Many artists decide to play this piece(especially the opening line) at insane speeds, but personally, I honestly love how this was so much more powerful and filled with emotion as opposed to raw speed. An incredible performance and a beautiful anime.

You're perfectly on the dot there. A lot of performances play the first part so fast I feel it removes the meaning from it. This is by far one of my favorite ways I hear it played.

I like this pianist’s rendition as well, it’s very articulate and precise, it’s nice to hear all of the notes. I agree with you 100% about the insane speeds.
