@@MasterKen i think Japan can easily make it if they really want, but i guess, japan already have so many mecha movies in television done over the past years and voltes v is so old that more similar programs kept coming every year it seemed it would be not so feasible to do so, one of the reason that philippine decided to do it because most of the people in GMA network particularly the high ranking executives are big fan of voltes v and most filipinos grew up watching Voltes v in the 1970s to 80s that it became so nostalgic and a big part of their childhood memory
According to the director this will also be aired in several countries especially in Japan, toei supervised and approved the making of the series with a bit of Filipino flair to it
I forgot to mention there is an live action series of sailor moon and a live action dragon ball movie…the dragon ball movie I saw, but someone mentioned a live action sailor moon and I had to check it as well, all I can say is they butchered the two animes 🤦🏻♀️
私は日本出身ではありませんが、Voltes V を作成した日本人に感謝の意を表したいと思います。 Voltes V の遺産は、フィリピンのファンの心の中で非常に生き生きとしています。ボルトインしましょう! Watashi wa Nihon shusshinde wa arimasenga, Voltes V o sakusei shita nihonjin ni kansha no i o arawashitai to omoimasu. Voltes V no isan wa, Firipin no fan no kokoro no naka de hijō ni ikiiki to shite imasu. Boruto in shimashou!
This is airing also in Japan and several countries according to the director, not sure if this will be dubbed in Japanese or it’s original, but this will definitely come with subtitles
Voltes V ( Chōdenji Mashīn Borutesu Faibu) was Japan’s love letter to the Philippines in the late 70’s. Voltes V: Legacy is the Philippine’s love letter to Japan. Sorry it took us a long time to make it. We wanted it to be right, faithful and true. ❤
(`ロ´)ノ Voltes V is a super robot that protects the friendship between the Philippines and Japan.
I’m from the Philippines and I don’t know why I still get teary eyed watching voltes v… maybe because this anime is such a big part of my childhood well a lot of anime is a big part of our childhood here (still in love with Rurouni Kenshin ❤) Hope to go to Japan soon, my husband and my son are all anime lovers too…. 😊
Filipinos truly love anime. It's not just their childhood, it's in their hearts. Voltes V adaption, is as close as it gets to the original stories. Since Filipinos love anime, they don't want to ruin the story unlike other adaptations that went too far from the original. Filipinos ❤ Anime Filipinos ❤ Voltes V
it was actually made for a tv series in GMA but they did a movie/ theatric opening for about two weeks before making it into tvshow, voltes v is a cult classic here in the Philippines even the themsong still giving me goosebumps
@@MasterKen fun fact: The last 4 episodes of the anime was banned by the Philippine Dictatorial Government at the time because it promotes freedom and unity against oppression. Also, the current President of the Philippines is the son of the dictator that banned the anime.
@@iwannabeahippie3671 it is a fact that you cannot swallow. my uncle told me this issue that there are certain episodes of this Animes were banned at that time. I'm really glad that someone still remember it. stay blinded
@@bitterblossom19 fun fact from your yellow and now pink shit. Do your homework and research the real reason why it is banned. Catholic schools reached out to the president because the students studies are affected. Voltes V is not the only one banned during that time. 🤦
@五郎 ばくはつ Philippines is the home of sex change? I think you're mistaking Philippines for Thailand. lol This is a Christian country, yes there are changes being made because of the current times but it not the home of sex change. Just for your information.
