Akira was also hella expensive to produce ahahaha 😅 most anime is animated on threes to cut animation costs, hence the lower quality versus being animated on ones like Akira or the Geno's vs Saitama fight from the first season of OPM
I mean to be fair its an anime movie, most anime movies have the slickest and most beautiful animations ever. But Akira is still the grandfather and king of this in my opinion.
All the songs in order 1.マクロスMACROSS 82-99 - THE Luxury Elite (ESP) 0:00 - 0:49 2. マクロスMACROSS 82 99 x YUNG BAE Selfish High Heels Feat Harrison 0:49 - 1:23 3. Non-Vaporwave versions of the songs 1. Marlene - ESP 2. Kaoru Akimoto - Dress Down 3. LTD- Don't Stop Loving Me Now 4. New Jersey Connection- Love Don't Come Easy
Akira was shot in 24fps. It was the most expensive anime ever made before 2001. "It was filmed at 24 frames per second, in full Cinemascope aspect, using 312 colors in the palette (the richest palette for any hand-done animation ever)"
this is a fun song but it’s not surprising that it got taken off spotify. it contains practically unaltered snippets from other people’s songs. the hook to kaoru akiyama’s “dress down” is in here with basically just a little reverb added. copyright nightmare
The video: *critiques the nostalgia of the 80s japan with its over-consuming happiness with a juxtaposition of happy music mix with the famous dystopia scene in akira" Everyone in the comment section: "Animation attractive!"
DAAAAAMN IM SO DUMB I JUST NOTICED THAT THE SONG REPRESENTS AN ACTUAL RADIO STATION EACH PART IS JUST A DIFFERENT SONG/VAPORWAVE AND THE RADIO STATIC IS SWITCHING THE SONGS
After 6 years, I finally found this song. Is one of those song you can't get out of your head for years but don't remember where you first heard it or what was its name
*Lyrics* _You are now listening to M A C R O S S 82.99 FM_ Dress down hayaku mitsukete yo Son'na ko ni kamatte tsumaranai hazuda wa Dress down-iki ga tomaru hodo mitsume raretakutte Please tell me, tell me why Hey there lady love What‘s on your mind You’ve given me a love that’s true That I can't deny It’s been rough I know Hard times and all Your love has found a new And now I’m losing you I can’t live without ya Oh, I I'd waste away in a single day I was made to love you Like honey to a bee You were made for me
Anyone that uses Akira for there vaporwave music video are legendary in my eyes such a awesome movie I even have a poster and everything i swear the big 3 classic anime masterpieces are Akira Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop.
Since im not the only one missing this song on spotify, anybody here trying to get a petition going towards spotify or the song's artist to get this back on spotify? Not sure if it'll do any good but worth a try to get this masterpiece back on our playlists :)
the samples are barely altered at all. i’m not against sampling as a whole, but this isn’t a good example of it. you just can’t put entire hooks from different songs in without altering them more than that. there’s some more reverb on there than the original. that’s all that’s different. someone could make a strong plagiarism case here
beautiful quality of animation, design and drawing these are 200% quality animes and not the shit for emo kids that are just screaming and making stories of demons and trash
Something about 1:00 in to the video. The synths combined with the vocal melody, the kicks something about it makes me feel like it’s winter. Anybody else feel this?
The greatest mashup of all time. THis is era defining, if only for a niche. Shout out everyone enjoying J/City-pop in early 2020's if not late 2010's. This is the wave, you either catch it or watch it.
@Susan He really wants it to be though. XD Sexual harassment's hilarious to them till it happens to one of their own, real or fictional. They still won't fully "get it" until it happens to them, and even that's debatable.
That girl with the phone at 0:50 reminds me of my ex girlfriend. She used to wear that same outfit almost every day! Now she's gone from my life but not forgotten!
