i love the implication that, right after he goes insane from electroshock therapy, he starts rapping to the people at the mental hospital about how insane he is
"Yeah, that's guys a murderer, we've been using electric therapy to try and fix him but it doesn't seem to get better" "HIS PALMS ARE SWEATY, KNEES WEAK, ARMS ARE HEAVY, THERES VOMIT ON HIS SWEATER ALREADY, MOMS SPAGHETTI🗣🗣🗣🗣"
say what you will about this song compared to the rest of the album but “imaginary mind, imaginary lines, let the maze of my design carry you on” is a sick line
This and mind electric are the only songs I really love off the album, I think the whole album is good because of the story it tells and as a musician I can appreciate the artistic merit, but it just doesn't do it for me
@@rainesaysdie863Funnily enough, this song is connected to the history of The Mind Electric. Demo 4 of TME is the serfs section, then a new verse that's literally the labyrinth verse with different lyrics. I wish they kept it, it goes hard.
@@JediPlays0309 I was just saying I just discovered Hawaii part II recently. There should be a part I or Part iii but I do not think it exist yet. We can only hope some day if we pray hard enough to the glass labrynth and the whale that maybe Simon will be revived again.
@@Seven-tk7spFor a more in depth answer this creator of Miracle Music was in a band called Tally Hall which consisted of 5 members, it released 2 albums Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum and Good & Evil in 2005 and 2011 respectively. This isn't the first time in the popularity consider their songs have tens of millions (even HUNDREDS of millions) of views/listens on Spotify and even became a meme a year or two ago with their song "Ruler of Everything" which is regarded as their best song they crafted. However despite their popularity they disbanded with the release of Good & Evil the band went on indefinite hiatus and went on their own separate endeavours with only a few still pursuing music. A year later Jow Hawley the guitarist released this album Hawaii: Part II with help from 3 of the 4 other members singing/assisting with the album And there was one final time in 2016 when Joe Hawley release his album Jow Hawley Jow Hawley, and since then, to my knowledge, none of the members have assisted each other in the making of their songs and been the longest period as such at 7 years since the release of Joe Hawley Joe Hawley Outside of Tally Hall, Jow Hawley makes his own music with a few albums. Rob Cantor actually made the song Shia Labeouf a while ago and made Disney Nursery rhymes. Andrew Horowitz works at his own studio. Zuban Sedghi is neuroscientist or pursuing a career in one, and Ross Federman is also focused on being a scientist. It's a shame, while as a band having only 3 small blips across a decade with Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, Good & Evil, and Hawaii: Part II they released incredible music that has gained a huge following ages after their hiatus that makes fan yearn for a day when Tally Hall finally gets off their hiatus and release one more album
This is the only song in the album with lyrics you don't need a string and corkboard to understand so it's got that going for it (the album is still good)
God I love Miracle Musical so much. Honestly I love every piece of music Joe Hawley has touched, including the less known stuff like cojum dip. Everything he has done is just so amazing and unique.
LYRICS See how I circle Imaginary mind Imaginary lines Let the maze of my design carry you on Just bumped my head and my face turns purple Running through hurdles, running in circles Trying to escape from this thing that I fear Everything seems clear like the end is near In the rear, I can see the beast getting close Surrounded by ghosts in a cloud of smoke The smoke reeks of failure, I don't want to fail But all the stairwells lead straight to hell So I'm jumping trap doors in the floor 'fore they floor me Focus on the love and the light right before me Walls keep spinning and my path keeps turning Patience thinning and my calves keep burning Hotter than a furnace, suddenly I'm learning Maybe I finally reached the point of no return and East is North and West is South I feel like I'ma never get out I'm trapped See how I circle Imaginary mind Imaginary lines Let the maze of my design carry you on See how I fly away Behind me my ex-girl's chasing me In front of me my next girl's facing me Awaiting me, the light's in my sight But I can't cross these enemy lines I'm behind I can feel the fatigue but I'm dying to shine But the road winds, I rewind, I rewind Got to find a new place to hide for the night Will I ever escape? Boy, I try and I try Everybody's watching me, I'm dying to get out In the glass labyrinth I am the mouse See how I fly away It's just a game you Play here in this labyrinth
With the fact that he says the squid creature is his ex is one thing but the fact that it says "sea of *REGRET"* just further proves he murdered the girl
I think that the ex is more related to isle unto thyself, the opening part mentions “healing” from something. I think the girl hes trying to reach but cant is the one that died. See some demon dude is walking away with her and hes still “trapped” And remind the prior song is about getting electro shock therapy, so hes in a ward or just was in a ward
it's definetely great but it just feels very weird seeing a song like that it in this album at first, especially right after the mind electric at first listen i personally didn't like it at all and thought it definetely doesn't fit into the album, but after getting used to it i think it's a really great part of the album, one of my favorites
Labyrinth is based on The Mind Electric’s bridge (specifically the synths) However for this specific part it more sounds like “and you fall inside a hole you couldn’t see, and you fall inside a, fall inside a, some one help me” to me
I heard this on Spotify and it just makes me sad. It reminds me of the days of old living tombstone music. Upsets me to realize those songs are years old and still close to my heart.
This is hated because it doesnt really fit hawaii part ii, on it's own, it's really good, but listening to the rest of hawaii part ii, it just doesnt really fit, yk?
@@cheeselad2401yeah i know, isn't it a sped up version of the "and you fall inside a hole you couldn't see, and you fall inside a hole, inside a- someone help me"?
