I'm not German or Taiwanese but I've worked in Germany for 15 years. Then I came to Taiwan and immediately noticed the difference in culture: people in Taiwan are much more friendly and helpful than in Germany (or anywhere else I've been). A few years ago I had to go back to Germany and immediately missed the friendly and easy going Taiwanese. Sorry to say so but I got the impression that smiling is not allowed in Germany. I got out as fast as I could and am happy to be back here in friendly Taiwan.
I mean I live in Canada for 26 years, White Canadians never smile at me when they see me Asian buying stuff......I went to Europe too...Europeans dont smile at me also when I buy stuff....
