So, Taichung is a city and the last one where I have been living for the past five years. Yes, five or six years.
Before this, I had been to many cities around the world; of course in France, cities like Paris and Marseille where I used to live. But also cities like Geneva, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, New York in America, London, etc.
Every city has a different character and influence on people. When I came to Taichung, I wasn't too surprised or impressed by the city, because it’s not about the architecture.
Some cities are very clean, some very dirty, but what touched me here, are the people. The kindness of the people in Taichung, how easily and gracefully they help you. You know, I don't speak Chinese. It's very hard for me, but people have been very nice, very kind.
I must say that I have not seen much of Taichung or even Taiwan. But as I said, Taichung is important, because it is the city where this exhibition is going to happen, and it is a very special one in my life.
