someone finally someone said this....I agree, one eps felt so long, longer than any one eps of anime I've watched...tbh I love that part about VE, they did so well with the new side characters backstory in every episode, to the point that I was able to empathize with them...because of that, i was also having a hard time on stopping myself from crying lmao Not the best anime, but its something I will always think of as something special

@Gamma Ray they’re not saying it’s bad, they’re saying it’s nice. also, I can tell you that Japan isn’t “embracing China’s culture” (no shade here), they’ve made their own unique culture out of it from what I’ve seen and that it’s originally from China, yes, but it’s different. It’s not a complete copy, they have their own culture. Though what’s sad is only a few people recognize that and realizes it didn’t just born out of nowhere, so I’m actually quite happy you know that :D

Welp, I dunno about that. Everyone has their own opinions and I respect yours. But I wouldn't stretch far out as to call it the best. True, it is very beautiful; the story, character development, character design, and animation quality are top notch. Hell, even the novels are absolutely tugging my heartstrings. Definitely one of the best but not the best.

I'm not so sure, it depends how people use these ratings. I didn't hit the dislike button myself and I'm sure this recording has cost lots of effort to pull off and I'm glad I listened, but... I'm afraid the original OST is really on a different level to my ears (e.g. in Across the Violet Sky). Maybe the improvement sounds small-ish to some; still, the higher you get, the more difficult it is to improve noticeably.

PLEASE, go watch it! This movie is not a side story, but continues the plot of the series! It is crucial for this whole story!
