I'm not sure if everyone fully appreciates the strength of the girls holding the banner. To carry the banner shoulder high while marching is no easy feat, let alone dancing with it. The talent level, energy and stamina of the entire band is incredible. They are truly unique.
Shohei Ohmori : Hah!...think that might balance things?!...they are sweet thought, aren’t they?!...youthful energy is truly beautiful!...love it!...thanks...
I am always so amazed, still, at how they are able to play an instrument, dance, march, and sing all while keeping beat, not missing a step and beaming such beautiful smiles, time and time again. It's nice to see that year after year they provide such wonderfully talented young people to entertain. I love watching KTSHSBand. I would love to see them in person someday. 😊👍👍
Nice comment, watched this young lad following the band for a season and once playing at I think was the school and it’s great to see him marching as a full participant. Respect to all these young talented individuals and their dedication.
Ive seen this performance several times now but this shot is a whole new take..close ups and walking along with the band this is great..the smiles are all clear the dscipline and training i cant imagine..the girls are all pretty noticed just now guys are handsome too! Great job guys to be in a band full of beautiful girls haha love you guys always keep entertaining the whole world from the phlippines! Thanks for the awesome video!
Missed them on RU-vid and great to see them in action again. Love watching them perform and been my favourite since Pasadena. Miss seeing Roni and Tippi but the standard is always at a high level, thank you.
Ms. " Tippi " was in the support staff. Just before the tall " Mr. Mohican " and opposite the Multi Tom Toms. It was fun to watch her pop into view. Do you recall when she performed this march in 2016? At that time Ms. Snare Drum- chan shone like thunder. RU-vid video: 長岡京ガラシャ祭パレード2016<FULL> 京都橘高校吹奏楽部 Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band(Nov 13, 2016)
I absolutely love this band. It is one of the best, if not the THE best band in the world. I miss seeing some of the older members, but the new freshman intake is surely making up for their absence. Well done as always Kyoto Tachibana. You are amazing. Love from Australia.
Always great to see the well known stuff such as Sing Sing Sing, Fireball, Down by the Riverside, I wish they would play something by ELO such as Mr Blue Sky :)
Thanks a heaps for the video it's clear and with excellent sound!! I love this band, so original and full of energy! I was surprised by the "Sir Duke" rendition, I never imagine it to be a marching band piece but you youngsters make me dropped my jaw!!. Bravo and love you all from Barcelona, Spain!!!
Arigatou Gozimasu.....Thank you for one of the best video's of what must have been a very challenging video to shoot. Job well done, the audio is fantastic !!!! Tachibana as always, delivers a quality presentation....not with standing the crowd, narrow streets and commuter train.
Tachhibana band is full of energy while playing the music together with dancing, singing imagine compare the other band, that's why this all members of the very smart
Its wonderful to see the new ranks of THSB from close. They are beyond quality here. A pleasure to the ear, to the eye and they give hope to what humanity can be. Love from Israel.
A joyful and beautiful team. They have to be the cutest and most talented band in the world. Japan should be so proud. Go Tachibana Kyoto SHS Band! 🎵📯🎶🎷🎵🥁🎶
Wonderful girls band ...so precise moving, dancing and marching, so professional level playing music, everything is well coordinated....looks like a precious machinery.... the new Japanese revelation and symbol, Bravo...
Another brilliant display, the young ladies and lads should be very proud of themselves, they always give a great performance, as you can tell by the crowds that cheer them on. I have noticed, over all the video's I have watched, that your cameraman always seems to favour the front of the parades, meaningthe the video's mainly consist of the banner waving young ladies and the brass section, your woodwind section, at the rear, rarely gets any screen time, which is a shame as they contribute part of the musicality of the parades and deserve to be acknowledged for their prowess. Muy buen amanecer con este video, confirma mi forma de ver de este KT Orange Davels, año tras año nos traen que con actitud y trabajo se puede lograr todo. Mis felicitaciones a todos los integrantes.
I am a long time fan of DCI (Drum Corps International) but Tachibana takes it to a whole new level. If I could, I would set up an event where Tachibana would perform at a DCI event. The crowd would be left open mouthed. One huge advantage Tachibana has over DCI is that Tachibana is innovative whereas DCI rules forbid innovation.
I have seen many videos of DCI and the level of performing and the level of music is also there incredably high . Especially the Blue Devils are awesome. The Tachibana band would probably not win against the Blue Devils , but the Tachibana band is a new style and it expresses more fun and happiness i think. Its just a matter of taste . Greetz from Holland .🎶🎵🌷🇳🇱
I always have time for at least one video of Kyoto Tachibana HS Band, There are days I can sit watching their videos for hour non stop, I know most of the moves already, if they ever need a sit in hit me up, but one thing don't ask me to play , because I can't do both. lol
I've got to say how nice it is to get the view from one of the horde of camera wielding guys that seem to accompany Tachibana every time they parade on home turf - or should that be tarmac ? Gteat to see the close-up shots,I almost felt I was in the band !
HOLD THE PHONE:)) Is that Miss Cony DM in 2019? I can't keep track of when the DMs lead the band, and who has graduated? BTW, there are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe how wonderful the lil ones are in this band!!!
I have listened to many versions of this video. The whistle commands at and preceding the corner intersection are sometimes clear and sometimes not in different videos Could someone please point out the person who does this?
Yes they can read music but the..snare drummers are holding their drum sticks wrong. As a past professorial drummer I am a little OCD about this but this is typical of most high school bands. Everything they are playing was written out for them including all the percussion ( drums).
A CG at the front center of this parade is a polyvalent player. Until last year she was in percussions and played bass drum, cymbals, marimba and so on. On the concert stage she is an oboe player, and it is probably her specialty. To perform an ensemble according to the environment and the music, any number of dedicated players who change positions are necessary.
@@bigernie5769 Banners are first year students every year. It is a honor position in first graders. I suppose the selection will be a competition including applicants and recommended girls.
Kyoto Tachibana was a girls' school until the 2000 so the school is only 20 years old admitting male students and most prefer sports clubs like soccer, baseball and volleyball, they always have at least 4-6 male members, there are other schools where it is more balanced.
She is the drum major and I understand she is elected to the job by her peers. She actually does a lot during a parade. By the way these young folk go to school five days a week from early (7:30) to three. Then they practice four to seven then do homework! Their weekends are spent practicing when they aren't parading somewhere. What I find interesting is that the band is a club - not a credit bearing course! They are a far cry from the whiney, self-absorbed, entitled students I hear about regularly.
@@woodrowelmore2521 I still remember the lengthy ticking off I received from a Royal Marine Bandmaster for referring to him as Drum Major when he was actually a Bandmaster, so please forgive me if I carry on referring to Bandmaster. (Isn't a Drum Major the lead of a Corps of Drums and Bugles.) She is performing all the functions of a Bandmaster and making a really good job of it. For a before/after school club all the young people do tremendously well and give a great deal of pleasure with their performances.
@@mplussant Have you ever watched the Rose parade 2018? They participated wearing their orthodox uniforms in orange. So they are called 「orange devils」.
@@mplussant This is the normal uniform. For a more casual performance they mix and match the black track pants and white tees with or without the orange skirt. They also have an older uniform that is blue with a pair of gold stripes.
