「文字是那麼豐富，那麼有魅力……你不玩，我覺得好可惜。」藝術家董陽孜在最新短片中分享她如何戲遊於文字的世界、從筆墨線條抒發己見。董陽孜是當今專事書法創作首屈一指的藝術家。她獨創的風格，突顯出書法以線條為主的精神，同時把書法帶向抽象。「昂昂若千里之駒，泛泛若水中之鳧」出自《楚辭》，是屈原於世風日下之際，聊以抒洩之文。董陽孜以此作向屈原致敬，勉勵觀者在艱難之時仍堅持初衷，寧做昂首不屈的「千里之駒」，不做安於現狀的「水中之鳧」。你可到M+展亭的「似重若輕：M+ 水墨藏品」展覽欣賞她的作品《昂昂若千里之駒 泛泛若水中之鳧》，以及其他逾四十位藝術家的作品，探索當代脈絡下的水墨。

One of the most celebrated artists working exclusively in calligraphy today, Tong Yang-Tze uses an individual style of her own invention that accentuates the fundamental spirit of the line and simultaneously pushes the script to the verge of abstraction. In her work ‘Spirited, like a far-journeying steed; floating, like a duck on water’, a phrase taken from the ‘Song of Chu’, Tong pays homage to poet Qu Yuan (343-278 BC) and his message of wilful self-consolation in times of social and moral decline, urging her viewers not to float complacently, but to uphold their integrity like a defiant ‘far-journeying steed’. Tong’s work ‘Spirited, like a far-journeying steed; floating, like a duck on water’ is on show now at M+ Pavilion as part of ‘The Weight of Lightness: Ink Art at M+’, an exhibition of work by more than forty artists exploring contemporary expressions of ink art.
