The comments by the journalist also belittled and humiliated her family. In any situation, such comments are not nice. A highly educated person but with such low standard. I don't think Miss Quan needs the reporter's apology. It was just an impolite statement and I am sure it would be drowned out by the overwhelming support and appreciation bestowed on the young diver. For where I am sitting. Miss Quan behaved very well; she was friendly, open, and willing to engage with fellow Olympians on a coach, using expression and props to compensate her lack of English skills. The way the whole country turn on the reporter is unnecessary and excessive; it only shows Chinese people in a bad light.
