He said he looks young because lifes is a lot simpler in Scotland. That really resonated with me. With nationalized health care, ample housing, pension, it's simply work on weekdays n recreate on weekends. There's no constant hustle. No unpaid OT. No social climbing. No chasing for more. People are content and can settle with where they are. This is in deep contrast to HK. Wonder if she went to the same school as Prince William hehe.

@@vexpressivo Well it depends on the person, what they do for a living, how hard they work and how well they take care of themselves. Not everyone in Scotland looks as young as he does.

@@vexpressivo Lisamarie just shared a picture of her dad with a face mask on. That's why he looks so young. He takes care of his skin. I don't know many guys that use skincare products. Most guys I know don't even use moisturiser.

Yeung Nick I have considered moving back to HK with my children for the same reason too. However, the living conditions and education system are not great for children nowadays.

@@joeychan948 I know, I went back in 2000, and came back in 2012, my old co-workers told me I left just in time, cause the company I worked for went bankrupt within half a year after I left, then the yellow umbrella demonstration started and all....

How can your kids has canadian culture when they back to Canada during teen? My kids grow up in canada and they really don't have same habbits and background with those kids who come to Canada when teen.

I think you're nuts, tbh. You failed at performing due diligence prior to your move. Canada (like a few other western countries) is a great country for kids to grow up in. Plenty of space all around, numerous vacation spots and cultural learnings to nurture their young minds. The food is oh so much fresher and better. And much much genuine friends (compared to the fakeness, cynicism, self-loathing inherent in hk culture). Better school system and sporting opportunities. Kids grow up in a much balanced manner and easily learn to be independent. What does HK has to offer now? Daily riots? Air pollution? Concrete jungle that stifles your very being? Shitty pigeon coop like apartments. Materialistic culture (mentaliy - if you have money regardless of its origin, you are upper class, if you are poor but upright, you are worse than a dog). Crowds every where you go. Kids gawking at their smartphones even whilst walking. By the time your kids reach their teen/tween years, most habits, personality, outlook in life, aspirations have already been shaped in their mind. It has already become part of their identity. Local Canadian kids don't regard your kids as one of them. They didn't grow up with them. They will regard them as FOBs.

@@caochen8783 This is all due to timing. I came to Winnipeg Canada back in 1980 when I was a kid. The first few years were hard, especially when the school put me in ESL program, basically all the kids in the class doesn't speak English well, we have Chinese, Philippines, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Russian, you name it, we have them, but we always stays within our own groups, so we never really learn to speak English well, untill I moved to another part of the city where there were no Chinese in the school, I was forced to play with other locals and finally learn to speak English. But as I grow older, not only me, but even my older brother was loosing how to read and speak Chinese, I had too many friends and party a lot, back then, you'll be accepted to university even if your average is 50%, so most kids doesn't try, I noticed my problem and left that school for grade 12 to a different school so I can start new and hopefully doing better, yet I met more new friends, especially a group of Hong Kong international students, I was tease a lot by them at the beginning cause I had to re-learn my Cantonese, but during that time I noticed how well organized they were, I mean I used to be so Canadian back then, we basically don't study or do our homework till the night before we have to hand it in or being tested. But I still see my international friends constantly, yet they planned all their school works and projects, and studied ahead of time. And during those period, I also noticed my Canadian born nephews and nieces couldn't read, speak, or write Chinese, nevermind about understanding the cultures like moon festival, Chinese New Year, etc. That's when I told myself when I have kids, I would like them to have a chance to know their own culture, also to have a strong background and skills of studying so when they come back to Canada, it wouldn't be as hard for them to hit high school or university like their old man. That's why I moved my family back when my kids were just a few years old. You can never have everything, and we as parents always tried to give our children what we don't have, or try to steer them to a less hard path from our own. You're right, Hong Kong is awful right now, and that's why I said it's all about timing, because we went back to Hong Kong and came back to Canada just in time before anything bad started in HK. And please, not all people are bad, we believe if you truly treat someone nice, they'll do the same, so both my kids have local friends as well, and they do pick up the Canadian culture here as well, and now they're adults, they also go vote every year as part of our duties
