True. Even Im not a singer I can tell who sings well or not. The girl in black just sang it loudly and her voice is not that good. The girl in yellow has the nice voice. I don't get it why they chose the girl in black over her tsk. Even other trainees disagree to their decision. I'm against to this show on putting 5 men as mentors. Sometimes it becomes bias. 😑

Her character was meant for shock. The judges knew who was better unfortunately this show is fake. They weren’t seriously judging the people based on talent. Here they used shock later the audience chooses who ends up in the group and they give more camera time to help them build character to sway public opinion for who they predetermined to win.

no face keep in mind that they need some DRAMA to attract more audience and make money. They don't care about the real talents of the trainees do they?

Actually I do agree that they made the wrong choice there even mentors admit they made a mistake at that time maybe because they did this 8 hours non-stop and their super tired by the end. Although ALL of them did agree to vote for Rena at that time. Tiger's reason is that Mimi Lee mess up her high notes and she was flat on 2 notes & was off pitch the entire time. Remember they edited what was shown on TV. They auto-tone it already so we can't really say she isn't off pitch the entire time like Tiger say when we didn't hear it live. Tiger say Rena was on pitch & hit all the notes. Jason agreed to this! Tao's reason is that he was reminded of himself. He also isn't the most talented trainee but SM pick him out of 200+ SM trainees where half probably are better vocals & dancers than him at that time & was put immediately in top class (skipping lower SM classes) & then put on debut line months later then debuted in EXO w/ just 1 year training because he is unique & offer something different to the group. So he went with Rena as she is unique too & diff. from other girls sitting on the 11 seats. Her vocal tone is diff. & her accent is diff. as well as she's from an ethnic chinese tribe. Anyway he did admit later on that he should not compare them to himself & it was a mistake putting Rena at A. I don't know why Yibo & Showlo voted for Rena though. They are dance mentors so maybe they prefer her dance.

First the girl in black, her style is different than a lot of the other girls in 101 and also she didn’t lose her pitch and key, but the girl in yellow, at one point, her pitch was slightly too low and lost her key at one of higher parts. I would have very much liked the girl in yellow to win but the judges decided otherwise so yeah. The judges said all of that I just translated... honestly li zi ting (aka Mimi) (girl in yellow) is one of my favourites. The girl in black won mostly bc of her style.

Yeah, I mentioned the pitch, key and style but I’m not sure if I translated the whole thing. I moved to Canada at age 3 and only learned to read and write mandarin for 6 years before I quite chinese school. I also had to learn Cantonese so please don’t judge if i translated anything wrong here.
