Elmo, I like the historical introduction. It's very informative. As for all the food reviews, they're excellent. You give many outlets and options which are very useful and interesting. Thank you 👍👍👍
I do comment every now and then about some aspects of your videos but all in all, thank you so much for all the videos . I really do enjoy them and they are a checklist of places that I can go to for nice food.
I live in Kajang since 2002 and i dont even know the history or good places to eat. When i asked around, i was given two recommendation - haji samuri and hong kong lat thong. Your video is so informative and no one legit can say much when they jus watched in their pj and munching cookies. You rock! And those -ve comments, jus flush it down.
Just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work. I do appreciate the historical details that you provide along with the video as this is something that we really should know but they are not in our school books 👍
Another great video on Msia street food. You have invested a lot of hard work and time in researching and editing, etc. I don't know how you did it.......I supposed this is your passion. Thanks to your wife as well. I have left Msia many, many years ago. In the 70"s when I was in KL, Kajang was like a kampung. There was only a 2-lane highway to get there. Of course, now things are completely different.
Clearly Elmo takes great effort in producing his videos. He begins with brief but informative introductions that help viewers such as me enjoy his videos. Excellent & well delivered presentations. Always enjoy watching your videos, Elmo!
Good elmo my great grand father was a tin miner there n got 2 bros stay in kajang n yet dont know about its history n yet u investigate its history n how the chinese builtup kajang to it is today well done just keep it up n hope we can reallym eet up ,if time permit.to the chinese sek hai fook.that what keep the community growing.
As a Kajang native, I’ve to say that this is a great list (satay putera aside). And appreciate the sharing on Kajang’s history too, I’m sharing this with my friends so that they know more about the place I grew up in.
Please know that every video is very much appreciated, enjoyed and knowledge gained. So thanks, thank you very much for your efforts to bring me invaluable food news.
Thank you for the informative video. I do enjoy the background story to it. And I also like your Cantonese because it helps me pick up the language 😉. Wow didn't know there are so many food gems in Kajang. Can't wait to try them.
hi uncle elmo, thank you again for posting another new video ! I know being a youtuber isnt easy but hang in there ya :-) the satay joke is pretty good ! hahaha
Good 👍🏽 episode again this time at Kajang. The illustrations on Kajang’s history is short, simple and easy to understand by everyone. In fact - it will be very good for any teenagers till adults to know a little bit more especially ‘Kajang residents’ on their town. The stalls chosen in this episode is appropriate and well thought. We have almost all nationalities food and a plus to feature young entrepreneurs doing food business there. Thank you Elmo ! Yatt Lau ! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I love the historical facts , something which not " well written " in our history books . Thank you for suggesting taking the MRT , i think its a fantastic way to spend a weekend jam free ! And as usual the food looks delicious ! thank you
Elmo, I always think you look very decent and well dressed, even in t-shirts. Your videos are very informative and well produced. Don't worry, all youtubers have haters.
Very good vidéo and introduction of the historical back ground à big plus! Ignore the unkind remarks from those who are only interested in stuffing their face with food and nothing else..
Hey Elmo, love your recommendations in all your videos. Any good food around Kelana Jaya area? I have been living here for a year now, but cannot find any 😅 Haha
Mr Lee, i used to live in Seapark, alot of good food. But now i migrated to Melbourne, i kinda miss the food i used to love in Malaysia. I hope one day i can meet you for good food
Hi Mr. Lee, me and my husband are planning to go to Malaysia sometime in Oct and we will watch over again your video to plan what to eat, by the way, can you tell me how to tips in restaurant and the food court, Thanks
Please do not tip anywhere on Malaysia. Pay only for what you ordered. There is no 10% tips rule here, do not tip even in restaurants or hotels. Please do not induce tipping culture in Malaysia. It is fully the employer's responsibility to pay their employees adequately, so all the 'tips' are alreary included in the price. Again, do not tip in Malaysia.
Lat thong restaurant mmg famous in kajang and extraordinaryfrom other , I'm also prefer satay near kfc .. and thx the new location near pasar introduce so I can explore...rojak still haven't explore yet
Hi Uncle Lee, I always enjoy watching your video with especially the introduction part about history of the place / food. It's a very good information. By the way I always have a doubt in my mind about 香港猪肠粉。I always think that this is not right as I don't really see this type of 猪肠粉 in Hong Kong. In fact if you search for 广式猪肠粉 it seems to be appearing the same 猪肠粉type (the 广式 seems to be appearing as 广东,广州式). I have an impression that because of the pronunciation of 广 is very similar with 港 in Cantonese. That's why people slowly saying this as 香港猪肠粉. Would you able to confirm this ? Thanks and looking forward to see more video from you !!!
Elmo, another great video. Historically, satay is from Indonesia, but somehow Malaysia satay taste better. Putera satay is a tourist attraction because the upper floor is an art gallery. Satay Willy and Satay Haji Samuri is anytime better Putera satay. Satay has to be made by Malay to taste better, Putera is a Chinese owned, a branch out from Restoran Malaysia previously. I do not eat Chinese nasi lemak too. The Kajang wet market food stalls is on the upper floor but it is not worth mentioning. Elmo is right about Cendol Tokong, only the cendol is good, any other food is so so only, the cendol is better than SS15. Whenever I am having the SS15 rojak, I will always forgo the sub--standard cendol. Not sure anybody realise how inferior the cendol is, looking at the crowd. The rojak did the crowd pulling.
Dont have to take it personaly. I would prefer a youtuber talks and present a video because why would i busy looking at the screen and busy reading subtitles? My eyes cant multi-task. I feel a video with talking & some introduction is a good idea
Should show us the red sauce of the chee cheong fun because it is rare and difficult to find now and eat and the hpng kong chee cheong fun everywhere can find it to eat.:(
This is the second stall in Medan Sate opp KFC n Plaza Metro. This is run by Kajang satay stall founder's grandchildren. The late founder used to sell satay next to Ban Seng Coffeeshop. Pls note the satay in the stadium area has nothing to do with the original founder. Check out this second stall.Satay Putera is too Chinese in the making.
If they are the best, why need to wait for 3 hours. Certainly the business sense do not make sense to capitalise it. There are a few Hj Rono, is this the same?
@@kayellai5278 Beats me... i went there, they (HJ Rono) tell me the same things...they say it's best to pre-order with them first... HJ rono & Haji Rono is different. Haji Rono Near to Yu Hua School, their satay not nice & very dry...
Let's reflect on some of your complaints received: 1. Uncle Lee speak Cantonese instead of speaking mainland Mandarin. 2. Uncle Lee is a braggart / show-off / pretentious for making videos of places he visits. 3. Uncle Lee is a bad food critic as he makes judgement based on one bite. 4. Uncle Lee sucks because he never featured my favourite food joint. 5. Uncle Lee dresses poorly, he should be more dapper for the camera. If your inbox is full of these level of complaints, just tip them into the sampah. Taking up 2 minutes to address such complaints is just making the vitriolic jerks more gleeful to make your life more miserable. I understand your disappointment with your viewership numbers compared to Dancing Bacons, Food Hunter, etc. I don't think its fair to compare you to ASMR channels, they cater for a different experience, a visual experience; your's is a more informative variety. But that being said, maybe you want to try going into the ASMR type videos too if you have the right set-up. Maybe that can be your B-roll footage, a separate video that accompanies each week episode, less edited to give us your POV. Your core viewers enjoy and look forward to your content like a friend making personal recommendations, and giving us heads-up to look elsewhere besides the over commercialised (tourist trap) type (eg. 10:36 and 12:38) and the overlooked gems. Thank you again for another week of food recommendations, keep it up.
@@malaysiafood328 please check if I am criticizing? I truly understand the meaning of haunt (regular hang out). Yet what I meant was let's hunt the food instead. Is that a criticism?
@@malaysiafood328 I understand your intention, yet like I said what I mentioned was let's hunt... Simply means like treasure hunt, discover something unexpected. It's an interactive comment, which I don't understand how it became so sensitive to you. We're here to share the fun, not here to create hate, hope you'll agree with me.
Thank U Mr. Lee for intro the food and history of Kajang Malaysia this time My two accounts subscribe for support l wish U the ratings and subscriptions will rise 🇲🇾 🤝 🇸🇬 👍 .
