Hi Terence, even without mortgage, you still need to pay property tax plus the maintenance of the properties .. I don't think $2,000 per month can cover that as well.. Just my 2 cents
Yes at least $3000 is the basic living property tax home insurance and maintenance fee gas water hydro food travel expenses public transportation expenses
The amount of CPP you received is based your contribution. If you never contribute during your work life because everything is in cash, you will not receive CPP after retirement.
