Whenever I listened to this song and melody, it reminds me of my wife who passed away three years ago. She sung this song before she died and shed tears. Whenever i see a small bird in the morning, I think of her and whenever I feel wind on my cheeks, I think of her. She was always my whole soul and closest friend. Thank you for the wonderful song.
すばらい歌です。歌詞はMary Elizabeth Fryeが1932年に書いた詩 Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.
When I miss my mom I'd watch this video of Maki Mori's rendition of ' Becoming a Thousand Winds'. I like her soothing yet powerful voice, her heartwarming smile, and every body gesture which never fails to deliver the beautiful message of the song.
Amigo como você gostou aqui vai a tradução: Não chore diante do meu túmulo. Eu não estou lá. Eu não estou dormindo. Eu me tornei mil ventos Soprando através do amplo céu. No outono, eu me tornei luz Banhando os campos. No inverno, eu me tornei como diamantes brilhantes Na neve cintilante. Pela manhã, eu me tornei um pássaro Despertando você. À noite, eu me tornei uma estrela Vigiando você. Não chore diante do meu túmulo. Eu não estou lá. Eu não morri. Eu me tornei mil ventos Soprando através do amplo céu. Eu me tornei mil ventos Soprando através do amplo céu. Soprando através daquele vasto céu.
the song is a translation of "Do not stand at my grave and weep", a beautiful poem written in 1932 by Mary Elizabeth Frye. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there; I did not die. to hear such beautiful poem translated and composed and sung into such a great repertoire... it doubled the tears I shed :"")
Wow. An important person in my life has just been diagnosed with a terminal cancer. This poem is so beautifully sad it makes me cry. Thank you for posting the translation.
