行政院在2022年3月攜手中研院、經濟部、科技部等,協同 17 個產學研團隊宣布「台灣量子國家隊」正式成立,透過與72位跨領域、學研法人單位的專家學者、24家產業公司合作分別參與通用量子電腦硬體技術、光量子技術、量子軟體技術與應用開發等三大領域。
三大領域中,通用量子電腦硬體技術共有 7 項計畫,包含超導量子電腦、參數放大器、量子電路材料、CMOS 等技術應用研究,協助開發的產業夥伴包含鴻海、台灣新思科技、聯發科、致茂 (2360-TW)、日月光投控 (3711-TW)、閎康 (3587-TW)、稜研科技、圓陵科技、易儀科技、台灣羅德史瓦茲、量源光電、南方科技(蔚華科轉投資)等。
光量子技術、量子軟體技術與應用開發則各有 4 項、6 項計畫,除鴻海、量源光電外,包含中華電 (2412-TW)、聯亞 (3081-TW)、一元素 (6842-TW)、龍彩科技、極星光電、Optilab L.L.C、祥茂光電 (AOI) 也參與光量子技術開發,軟體技術與應用開發除鴻海外,金融研訓總院、台灣富士通、大江生醫 (8436-TW) 也都有參與。
根據國家發展委員會的資料,台灣目前有以下廠商參與量子電腦的研發:
鴻海集團:鴻海集團是全球最大的電子製造商之一。鴻海集團在 2021 年成立了量子科技研究院,
台積電:台積電是全球最大的晶圓代工廠。台積電在 2022 年宣布將成立量子計算中心,致力於量子電腦晶片的研發。2023 年,台積電成功製造出了世界第一顆5奈米超導量子晶片。這顆晶片採用了台積電最先進的 5 奈米製程技術,具有 100 個量子位元。
聯發科:聯發科是全球最大的智慧手機晶片供應商。聯發科在 2022 年宣布將成立量子計算研究團隊,致力於量子電腦應用的研發。
【量子技術科普】
量子超導電路:是一種利用超導材料的特性來實現量子計算的技術。超導材料在低溫下會失去電阻,並具有許多特殊的量子力學性質。利用這些性質,可以將超導電路製成量子位元,從而進行量子計算。
離子阱:是一種利用電磁場捕獲離子的量子計算機。離子是帶電的原子,它們可以用作量子位元。通過對離子施加電磁場,可以控制其量子狀態,從而進行量子計算。
光量子:是指利用光子作為量子位元 (qubit) 的量子電腦。光量子是一種利用光學原理實現量子計算的技術。
In March 2022, the Executive Yuan, together with Academia Sinica, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, announced the establishment of the "Taiwan Quantum National Team". This initiative involves 17 industry-academia research teams collaborating with 72 interdisciplinary scholars and experts from research institutions, along with 24 industrial companies. They are focusing on three main areas: general quantum computer hardware technology, photonic quantum technology, and quantum software technology and application development.
In the field of general quantum computer hardware technology, there are 7 projects, including superconducting quantum computers, parametric amplifiers, quantum circuit materials, and CMOS technology applications. Industry partners involved in these developments include Hon Hai (Foxconn), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), MediaTek, ASE Technology Holding (ASE), Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), Unimicron, and others.
For photonic quantum technology and quantum software technology and application development, there are 4 and 6 projects respectively. Participants include Hon Hai, Lumentum Holdings, Chunghwa Telecom, Lian Ya Group, Ennostar Inc., Optilab L.L.C., and more.
According to the National Development Council, the following companies in Taiwan are currently involved in quantum computer research:
Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd.: Hon Hai is one of the world's largest electronics manufacturers. It established a Quantum Technology Research Institute in 2021.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC): TSMC is the world's largest semiconductor foundry. In 2022, TSMC announced the establishment of a Quantum Computing Center focused on the development of quantum computer chips. In 2023, TSMC successfully manufactured the world's first 5-nanometer superconducting quantum chip using its advanced 5-nanometer process technology, featuring 100 quantum bits (qubits).
MediaTek Inc.: MediaTek is a leading global supplier of smartphone chips. In 2022, MediaTek announced the establishment of a quantum computing research team dedicated to the research and development of quantum computer applications.

Superconducting Quantum Circuits: This technology utilizes the properties of superconducting materials to realize quantum computing. Superconducting materials lose their electrical resistance at low temperatures and exhibit unique quantum mechanical properties, which are used to create quantum bits (qubits) for quantum computing.
Ion Traps: Ion traps are quantum computers that use electromagnetic fields to capture ions. Ions, which are charged atoms, serve as quantum bits (qubits). By applying electromagnetic fields to ions, their quantum states can be controlled for quantum computing purposes.
Photonic Quantum: Photonic quantum computing utilizes photons as quantum bits (qubits). It employs optical principles to achieve quantum computing.
