And obviously many of u don't realize how hard it is to sing jazz style, the rhythm and tempo are all different, it's MUCH harder than just singing the song straight through! And to be able to sing it so perfectly at such a high pitch, only Gary can do it.
I chances across the Yang and xiao version of this song, remembers Gary also likes to this song, watch the 3 of them...my personal conclusion is, (purely personal)...I love Gary's singing, as an overall...this is a brilliantly sang song like all his other songs.....Yang's singing was great...especially this particular song he sung...it was touching...simple and touching...while Xiao is not bad, he can sing very well...but I kinda like Gary's and Yangs more.
"the original singer was Wang Fang but not so popular till gary sing it"??? oh please, keep ur ignorance to yourself this version blends beautifully with the music =D
Gary's got the malaysian look...though i prefer Jam's version, I think he did a good job with this rendition... as for yang's supposed 一绝, no doubt is good, but competition aside, it should not be used so frequently for comparison for something as subjective as music. I am sure if Gary or Jam had wanted to interpret this song that way they can dish out that "一绝" too. All that said, I am sure there will be some who can't handle comments like this :)
Come kitties... stop fighting. Both singers are good in different areas. Xiao obviously need more experience and training coz Gary is afterall a pro already. Xiao has explosiveness in his voice while Gary's is very clear and sweet. Cant compare apple to orange!
@shineluvslambiel oh my god! it's not about who cares about it, i was just wondering whether he sang with the original key, just wonder okay?! also i thought it's really hard for a man to sing with the key of a female singer, and everyone knows singing is about emotion and expression!
