I went through a terrible sickness and a surgery, now I need to learn a new way of living. You are becoming a kind of teacher for me. Seeing you working with such a concentration, with no hurry, with a calm perfection, making beautiful things is giving me a lot of help. Thank you.
Yeh like how they buy up ALL the real estate in Australia and New Zealand and let those properties sit there to drive the housing market up - RESPECT - pffft 😞
@@alexiscolby9415 who is selling the properties? oh wait, it is voting citizens in australia and new zealand agreeing to do that no wonder those countries have terrible housing, the people who live there are complete sellouts who are pathetic enough to actually blame the buyers for the market prices set by sellers 😂😂
Wow, so much work! I hope this gentleman enjoyed doing this very long and tedious process, like anyone who works with natural fibers. I certainly enjoyed this very peaceful and relaxing video, and it was nice to see and hear the animals, too.
One of my favorite things about textile arts is that so much of it is the same no matter when and where you are. Measuring out the warp, getting it on the loom, painstaking but loving work I aspire to weave cloth half so lovely one day. Thank you for sharing
you are inspiring! beautiful video with so much detail, it is amazing how days and months of hard work you are able to show in just a few minutes. Thank you for creating and sharing 🫶🏽
Thank you for sharing this incredible, labor-intensive process. I ordered my first ramie fabric this year and plan to make a simple dress for summer. I now have a new respect and admiration for the origin of this cloth. 🙏
Beautiful and important Chinese tradition of making grass cloth threads and fabric. This is very beautifully filmed too. So much effort goes into this amain process.
Thank you very much for this wonderful video.🙏🏻 To see someone have such patience and take such great pains to produce a beautiful article is humbling. I found garments made from this fine cloth at Ali Express.😃
Dude, this is awesome. Really puts in perspective how we take the clothes on our backs for granted, being able to simply buy them from a store. Boggles the mind to imagine how many collective generations of effort it took to come up with and perfect this process. Mad props for the hard work put into this, it was a joy to watch.
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE! YOU HAVE MUCH DISCIPLINE, PATIENCE AND SKILL. VERY PEACEFUL AND TRANQUIL. ENJOYED WATCHING YOU VERY MUCH. This is just amazing, pure natural, you are very blessed. Chicago, USA
I've watched all your videos and I have to say that your hard work and patience is truly amazing, keep up the fantastic work and keep uploading videos 👍🏽
The greatness of your life is hard to describe. It's not necessary, though. We can see from your short videos your great mind and all the virtues you have, magnificent things you make and finally your soul full of love for what you are doing. I'm impressed. We can, and should, learn from you. Longevity,,,, prosperity,,,, happiness,,,, ♥️🌈♥️
Shanbai, i have never been so impressed with anyone in my life. Your patience is great, and you are very skilled. Thank you for sharing this with us, and i am wishing you a prosperous day 😁
People long time ago used to this. How privileged are we, to have everything easily made for us. This is such a hard work for you as well, thanks for sharing!
I've learned A LOT about the development of textiles as something that humans do, and the process of turning plant fibers into cloth is by far the craziest thing I think we have accomplished. None of it is intuitive or observable, like stacking things to make shelter or applying heat to raw materials or cultivating certain plants at certain times or remembering which plants kill and which ones stop pain. Those things are all freely available to see and learn from in plain old nature. But thread? Needles? Sewing? WEAVING??? Those are happy accidents that multiple humans across time and space stumbled upon, probably beginning with idly fiddling with the previous year's rotted plant fibers and getting... An idea, all at once. An idea that could have easily been discarded in the struggle to survive, and instead someone else remembered and built on it. And look how far we've come.
