Members of BABYMETAL Kami Band in Takayoshi Ohmura's solo live The Gathering of Metal Warrior (DVD) 2016.01.09 @Club 1ne2wo Takayoshi Ohmura (Guitar) Mikio Fujioka (Guitar) BOH (Bass) Hideki Aoyama (Drums)
Not only do they come from various metal bands, they're also respected session players _and_ a couple of them teach. More importantly, they all seem to respect the BM girls (especially BOH).
@nathan berry well they are, they don't even do the recording of BM's album. Their respective role in BM are touring band. That's why they have replacement when each one of them in unavailable.
+nathan berry - Settle? Did I not just say they do plenty of other gigs outside of BM? Ohmura is spending the first quarter of 2018 on tour with his own band. "Settle" implies resentment, but they love working with the girls. PS: arbalest is correct; they didn't write BM's music and can be swapped for availability.
I like to believe he didn't die... he just joined the greatest musicians in some sort of a paradise, either in this world or the next, where all who have gone too soon were needed, for glory and rock.
Thank you very much for your huge contribution to Babymetal and Japanese music scene. We will never forget you, Kogami-sama (Mr. Mikio Fujioka). Rest in peace.
Very sad to hear he is no longer with us, I never even saw him play out of costume until this video. Rest easy though man, you gave Babymetal and your music to the world, I'd call that a destiny fulfilled.
They're very lucky to be with Babymetal, because many people who don't live in Japan wouldn't know about them otherwise. They can totally stand on their own. RIP Mikio Fujioka. You'll be missed.
It's August 31, almost 9 months after we lost him and I'm just now getting to where I can watch things that focused on Mikio again. I tried watching one of his videos of him playing and singing by himself 2 weeks ago and broke down. I'm choking up now!
I still feel the same way too. It is weird that we have gotten so attached to Mikio san....Ko Gami...we love you and we will always remember you and thank you for making me falling in love with heavy metal again!
Definitely have to respect someone who can play a 6 string bass. I mean, I was impressed with Fieldy ( Korn ) playing a 5 stringer. This guy does an epic solo with 6. How could you not love that?
Rest in peace Mikio and thanks for building the band that saved my life. It seems every time I'm having fun I pause and remember that you're gone. This is an event I never could have imagined happening, especially to Babymetal. Our fanbase won't be the same. This will hopefully bring a lot of fans back together. RIP, we are The One...
They always have been in a band except with leda and takayoshi and hideki tho. Their band name is kari band consisting of mikio (lead guitarist), boh (bassist), and yuya maeta (drums). They do live gigs and they have great albums would recommend
When you are a musician in a band/bands every now and then you find a member who is so above and beyond that they make everyone look and play better. Here you have 4 of those guys in one band. Mikio then took that Excellence and Absolutely owned every stage he graced. This my friends is a one in a billion performance and Im floored its saved for All too see now and in the future.
Mikio.... I love space and stargazing.... every night I look at the stars I remember you and I am sure you are rocking the heavens.... great person, awesome guitarist.... always in my mind and heart, never forgotten.... for your family, BABYMETAL and all your fans my heartfelt condolences
Cool to see them like this. I still can't get over what a monster they all were for the Tokyo Dome Babymetal concert. I would have sold one of my kidneys to be at Tokyo both nights last year.
I rarely comment such videos but I can not resist here. Without doubting his genius I feel in this solo that he echoed Fripp. Mikio's solo is beautifully crafted. Huge potential - thus huge loss, an unfinished book.
They have a CD! :) Type Kari-band on Amazon and it should appear. (Though I think Takayoshi is not playing in this Album, but Boh and Mikio are in it.)
These guys are just amazing! The tightest live band I've ever seen! R.I.P. Mikio Hopefully they stay with the girls. It's a one in million combination that not only works but it's best thing I've heard in over 30 years. Separate them and they'd still kick ass but BABYMETAL is just a Force of Nature.
It looks like since he was like14 or so he was doing this and loved it.Sorry to that his passing was behind me knowing of these people but is there a nother that can do this in japan.this guy was a badass.mikio fujioka.
The metal Family. Will never forget our. Best and good Axe men. From Jimy Hendrix , Hanneman, Randy Rhoads, to Mikio. Ur always be remembered. Metal GODS always protect you.
