I got another recommendations for an alternative to Chloe Box. The Ateliers Auguste’s monceau gold edition is very similar to the Chloe box as well. Unfortunately it’s out of stock online at the moment. Hopefully it gets replenish online and we can order the bag again.
I bought a medium Chloe (new) and sold it without using at all to secondhand shop (not consignment). And I bought a Marc Jacob leather small tote bag, and seldom use it. I like the Chloe woody bag more than the MJ the Tote bag. In terms of workmanship the Chloe woody bag is very much more refined. I find that I prefer the Longchamp essential tote (canvas) to the chloe woody bag. In addition, I prefer to use my dragon diffusion Nantucket bag when I need my tote to be totally carefree. And I feel that the MJ the tote bag in small a bit too bulky for crossbody, and I do not like it’s workmanship and leather so much.
@@tracy2cents I have 3. 2 in the Nantucket model. The one in dark brown doesn’t colour transfer. The leather looks slightly glossy even after 2-3 years. Another in fuchsia pink - as I normally wear dark colours, I cannot tell if colour transfer - but the colour fates and the gloss disappear so not it’s quite matte (after 2 years). I am not too sure if the interior transfer, cos my wallet/key pouch/tissue case etc are all in black or dark brown. My last DD bag is in black (short handle rectangular basket), the colour doesn’t fate, not so sure about its glossiness as the leather weave is narrower. I think those DD bags in natural shades (tan, dark brown, black) are quite more colour fast. I like the triple jump and Santa croc models too. But I think the Nantucket design is a safe bet - cos the shoulder drop is slightly longer than then the LV Neverfull. Sorry, it’s really TMI. But I really like my DD bags esp the nantucket in dark brown.
