Important life lesson for women is to educate themselves and be strong and independent and not depend on men as many men can’t stay loyal to one partner for physical temptation or greed and power. Raise your children yourself as divorce too traumatic on children. Chinese dramas are art imitating true life.

The title is not correct: the reason they divorced is because she found the marriage suffocating and he was taking her for granted. She was miserable being just a housewife and realized she would never have a happy life unless she went out and created a life for herself. He never stopped loving her and watching after her.
