She gets any sound she wants out of the instrument. I envy her.... And then the chords are so extremely difficult, you can see, how the hand must be strached. Wow!
Wow! I have really enjoyed all of your recordings including this interpretation: "L'ultimo Caffe". In English, would that be: "The Last Coffee"? That title would be very fitting for this piece. I'm not too familiar with this composer, S. Iannarelli, but you seem to play his music intuitively. The listener really gets lost in this piece. It's very dreamy and nostalgic. Your whole life seems to flash by in the space of a couple of minutes. You put things into perspective and then you move on. Thank you so much for sharing this performance. GD PS, 5 years later. I have listened to Paola Hermosin's interpretation of this same piece, L'Ultimo Caffè Insieme, many times also. Hers is also strong. But your version here, Xuanxuan Sun, has a feel, a softness, an intimacy, a delicateness, and almost a floral aspect that captivates and compliments the nature of this guitar composition so well. Well done.
The complete title is L'ultimo caffe insieme (the last coffee together) by Simone Ianarelli, it's one of the twelve pieces for solo guitar named Italian Coffee
I remember my old girlfriend. Everything was so dificult! We wanted us, but was imposible. And this is the last cofee that we should have taste, toguether, much before all finished!
Congratulations Xuanxuan, great to hear your guitar! What brand of strings do you use? I've used D'Addario, Augustine and some with the titanium primes, but the 3rd with little sound and with tuning problems.
