A big highlight of my Singapore trip was catching a concert by Anpu 安溥 (張懸) at the Esplanade concert hall. It was an intimate stage for an acoustical 16-song affair with one of my favourite female singer / song-writer. The night felt like a unique experience as Anpu decided on a personal set list, singing only the songs she wanted to sing... including covers of songs by Neil Young, Sheryl Crow, Cat Power, 吳青峰, 蘇打綠, 齐秦, 孫燕姿, etc. And like true fans of Anpu, I always love when she banters eloquently and vulnerably, with her fans in between songs.
I'm very glad that she honored the Singaporean audience with a cover of 眼淚成詩 "Poems & Tears" by Singaporean singer Stephanie Sun 孫燕姿. It just happens to be one of my favourite song by Stefanie, probably only second to 我不難過 "I Am Fine"
