After the fall of the Song Dynasty, my ancestor's family split into two. One goes to Chaozhou and becomes Chaozhou and the other one goes to Guangzhou and becomes Hakka because they had no lands there. For my family, the split between Chaozhou and Hakka is recorded clearly as I can trace my lineage back to 4000 years ago.
@@jackgoodnight2 Yeah, what wrong with that? I am not the only one that can trace back to the 8 matriarch surnames of the Huaxia name, back to the Yellow Emperor.
Hakka are not Han! Cantonese literally not Han ! Most people from the south was invaded ,Genocide or Rape by Han invaders are not Han! Southern Chinese ancestor are "Chiyou(蚩尤)" not Han Yellow Emperor(黃帝)!
