This is so brave of him to come all the way back to his root to seek for the truth. Also very kind of him to try to understand his mum's difficulties at the time. I am sure he was loved and he turned out to be an extraordinary gentleman with lovely family of his own now. This is amazing!
My father found out he was adopted when he was in his early 40s. That shocking news left a big void in his heart ever since then. I wish the very best of luck to Professor Chan to reconnect with any of his relatives soon.
😔😔😔😔 Professor Chan, very sad to realise your mother passed away, i really hope you can find your birth father, or other relatives, God bless you 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
While I understand why he wants to find his birth mother, I feel that his adoptive parents are his real parents. They raised him, gave him love and made him the man he is today.
It is absolutely normal for adoptees wanting to search for their biological parents. Some research showed many adopted children and adults have lingering feelings of being unconnected to their roots. The feeling described as a void or emptiness that is felt deep in the core of a sense of not belonging. Searching for birth family members may assist in filling the hole and allowing connections to be made. There is no contradiction between searching the biological parents and treating the adoptive parents well.
It is difficult for his mother to choose to abandon her son at age 2. It is glad that Mr. Chan can grow up and becomes a Professor in U.S. If her mother did not choose to abandon, Mr. Chan may not have the opportunity to receive good education and able to live in a relatively free and equitable environment.
Look for mom's new husband families?何必呢?人都走了,放過吧!相信不是走頭無路,也不會把不到一歲的你放下去找新家嫁。留些秘密空間她吧。 Maybe your mom in the sky did not let her new families knew about u existing in this world. Clearing out her scares for revenges?
So stupid. Why come back for someone who doesn't deserve to be called "MOM"!!! The one who rised him and eduated him should be the one whom should be respected.
