The Qatar World Cup is in full swing, and the mascot [la'eeb] is popular all over the world. La'eeb means a highly skilled player in Arabic. Its design is inspired by Qatar's traditional costumes. It encourages people to believe in themselves. It also means that it will lead everyone to enjoy the joy of football.
After learning about the unique meaning of [la'eeb], I set out to craft it with chocolate. The chocolate la'eeb is made with 75% dark chocolate, because the unique shape of la'eeb requires high hardness of chocolate.
The chocolate la'eeb weighs about 100kg, with a height of about 120cm and a width of about 90cm. The body of la'eeb was the most time-consuming, which took me more than 30 hours on shaping and polishing. Cocoa butter and natural pigments are used for surface coloring on the showpiece.
