This is the finals of the 2017 Chugoku Region Judo Championships, which serves as the qualifier to the All-Japan Open Weight Championships on April 29th. The top 2 from this region advance, and Sosuke Matsumura (red) will become only the 8th high school student to compete in the All-Japan Championships since the first edition in 1948. His opponent is Akira Okushima (white), member of the Yamaguchi Prefecture Police Judo Team and All-Japan Championships veteran.
