My god one of the most impressive erhu performances I've ever seen. Playing the entire thing on just two strings... of course the low G string parts had to be shifted up an octave, but my god she was even nailing the high notes. Insane shifting.
Is awesome how that instrument have a sound looks like a voice of a Singer of pieces looks like...i cant talk what is the feel when you hear the "voice" of that instrument, is awesome.

Beautiful rendition. Her arrangement and adaptation of this piece to her instrument sounds superbly creative, and that's coming from someone who doesn't even play a string instrument. Also not gonna lie, her hands are so fun to watch; she maneuvers them in a very visually pleasing manner.
No double stoppings either - and the odd note was off the range, too, and had to be omitted. However, amazing, and, judging by violinists' comments I've seen about a video of the piece she made, apparently, some 3 or 4 years earlier, she's improved an incredible amount since then!

Due to the low number of double and triple stops in the score, is a really smart election for a two strings instrument, but in my opinion, those parts are the "rock star" parts of the piece. I really miss them.
Всё бы ничего, но такое чрезмерное vibrato слушать невозможно. Кроме того, ей явно не хватает техники. Пассажи она только начинает, а заканчивает на glissando. И если она так будет мотылять головой - то голова оторвётся.
Although I've never heard this Chinese instrument played technically so well this performance is a good reason not to play transcriptions on instruments not suited for this repertoire. She leaves out the double stops, changes octaves in the middle of some phrases simply because the range is limited and there's one passage where its improvised, not what's actually written. I probably should not have looked at her affectations but closing my eyes she didn't fool me - that's no violin... 😱
