THAT MOMENT in SOC4 where Bouboo sat with lay and patted him on the back and told him that he was a professional dancer signaling his respect for Lay after Lay battled and gained 2 points for his team. Lay has been continuing to improve in his krump i am sooo happy for him. He even tried learning from the other krumpers in the competition sadly they weren't a lot of krumpers and they got eliminated early. On top of that he owns his own company and makes his music and does a lot of shows. This guy sleeps less than 4 hrs a day. He is just such a perfectionist. Also, he studied krump for 1 year so the fact that this guy said he was 100% legit krumper shows how hard he trained for 1 year (6 hours a day).

Yes it's legit friendship battles.. Lay was asking director of SDC3 before if there's a chance, he want a friendship battle with bouboo because he respect him so much. Lay not only trying to support underground dancer community, krumper, or etc but his first main goal is to promote his country culture (M-POP) to the world by his 'power' as celebrity, that's a really amazing for me as not Chinese people! Not to mention his love for dance, even tho he just learning krump for months but he already sacrifice his life for dance for years. Mad respect for Lay Zhang!
Yaassss Lay is a movement! He is trying ro promote Chinese culture thru mandopop and dance. I just started watching SOC 4 i didnt watch the other seasons but yes you can see that Lay really wants to promote the street dancw culture in China. He freaking made a dance company ao kids can learn dance. Seriously this guy is my ult ult bias of all time. He is just sooo passionate and dedicated and genuine. Imagine spending millions of your own money for a music video to promote mandopop???? No one does that!!! Its just Lay and he is LIT!
one thing discomfortable to know is that . lay forks out the most part to sponsor this show . He chipped in the cash prize . He made this happen. He invited bou bou to be the judge and also gave me the ultimate exposure to be in the final battle with him. And in that sense , boubou was hired by lay . Bou bou didn’t bring his A game and for whatever reason it might be that’s ALL on him,. He didn’t enjoy the stage as much as we wish he could . In all fairness , how many dancers out there longing for chance like this !

krumpers? Lay ( the asian dude) is a millionaire, Hes a singer, actor , producer. He is not even a professional dancer or go to competition.. So thats why Lay is great compare to professional dancers. Of course Lay cannot beat Bouboo in real life in dance battles cause Bouboo dance all his life. Lay don't need make money being a dancer.. Its just one of his hobbies. . He don't or rarely go to any krump battles or competition.
If he cant beat the likes of Bouboo, that does not make him great compared to professional dancers. I know tones of underground dancers who arent professionals bit their skill level is pretty much that of a professional. You're comparing Apples and Oranges bruh
