One of my earliest memories is looking out at the sunset with my grandmother and counting the seconds it took for the sun to be completely out of sight. It was one of the most beautiful things a 4 year old can experience. This was a tradition every time I would visit, but it eventually stopped happening. When I first heard this song, I didn't experience meaningless nostalgia, but instead I was transported back to that very memory, me and my grandma watching the sun go down. I heard this for the first time today as I was driving down a state highway and I had a moment, a beautiful moment, where the world and all it's problems including my own were nowhere near my mind and I was at peace. The sky was blazing blue, crystal clear, filled only with small scattered clouds in the distance. At 65 MPH the center lines were passing by in sync with the beat. I will forever think of that beautifully perfect drive home hearing this for the first time, every time I hear this song.
